Chapter 294: Chapter 293, Hidden Weapon?_1
Lei Er’s face paled, a silent howl of despair filling his mind. Damned cunning fox, resorting to such mean tactics! Was this what Ji Nuan meant by a hidden weapon?
The orcs of the Watson Tribe also reacted instantly, trying to break free of the surrounding orcs and rush to Lei Er’s side.
Among the creatures present, the white giant fox, the principal culprit, looked grimmer than any of them, even showing signs of anxiety.
"Snap~" He felt no expected excruciating pain, but rather a fluffy and soft sensation on his face.
Lei Er, somewhat baffled, opened his eyes to find a fluffy object swinging its puffy tail on his face, an unknown critter.
Under the anxious gaze of the big white fox, Lei Er grabbed the peculiar furball on his face, "..."
Where did this little orc, or fox, come from?
Looking at the small fox cub squeaking in his hand, and observing everything around it, Lei Er cast a meaningful look at the big white fox across from him.
Using your cub as a hidden weapon, what was this big fox thinking? Was it foolish?
Could this fuzzy little creature possibly have some special abilities?
"This is your cub, isn’t it? How about it, want to consider letting us go?"
As he spoke, he lifted the small white fox cub up and shook it. The fox cub, grabbed by the back of his neck by the mischievous Lei Er, swung around excitedly, squeaking in delight, its short little legs flailing all about, finding the game thoroughly enjoyable.
Completely oblivious of its father’s dark scowl from across.
Luo Ke gave a black look to the cluelessly playful cub, his heart aching to grab the little nuisance and give it a firm spanking.
As time gradually passed, the standoff between the two sides lasted quite a while. Finally, Luo Ke was the first to compromise, reverting back to his orc form.
"I’ll let you off this time. Just remember that this is Dashi Tribe’s territory. If you come here to hunt again, you won’t be so lucky," he warned, then glared at Lei Er, "Give it back."
Lei Er shrugged, tossing the little cub back towards the orc. Luo Ke didn’t catch it. Instead, the little bundle adjusted its position in mid-air and landed lightly to the ground on its own.
It then merrily scurried on its short little legs, squeaking excitedly as it ran back to its father.
Luo Ke picked up the little creature, allowing it to obediently nestle in his hand. Its round, innocent eyes were wide with fear, looking timid and pitiful. That innocent demeanor made Luo Ke’s heart soften, his hand faltering as he tried to discipline the little cub.
Finally, he clenched his teeth, turned around, and headed back towards the forest, "Back to the tribe!"
Seeing their leader leave, the orcs of Dashi Tribe transformed back into their orc forms and followed suit.
The orcs of Watson Tribe gathered around, "Who would’ve thought, Lei Er, you’re so calm in the face of danger."
"Indeed, even when that little thing landed on your face, you weren’t scared at all. Impressive!"
"That’s why he’s our team leader. He’s just different."
Lei Er, basking in the shower of compliments from his fellow orcs, smirked proudly, "Well, of course. I saw it was just a little cub early on, so what was there to be scared of? I’m from the Golden Lion Clan after all."
