Chapter 285: Chapter 284, Confirmation_1 Ying Da stretched lazily as he walked out of the cave, raising his face to bask in the sunlight for a moment before heading to the Food Storage Cave to collect some food. Seeing the tribe’s only Flying Orc, particularly with Ying Da having made such a significant contribution to the tribe recently, the other members of the tribe treated him with great respect, cheerfully greeting him. Ying Da exchanged greetings with the tribespeople for quite a distance before spreading his wings and taking flight. This was his daily duty, to monitor the movements of the Beast Wave at noon. The downstream region of Eneru Forest, having been ravaged by the Beast Wave, was eerily quiet; other than the occasional chirping of insects, no other sounds of prey could be heard. Ying Da reached the location agreed upon with a few of the Orcs from the Watson Tribe during their last encounter, only to find two young Eagle Beasts waiting there. Brother Xiu Yan and another foul-mouthed Orc named Ying Yan were nowhere to be seen. He flew over and asked, "Why are only the two of you here today? Where are Xiu Yan and Ying Yan?" The Eagle Orc glanced at him and replied, "We had intended to hunt a few beasts after leaving your tribe yesterday, but the number of beasts had greatly decreased. Consequently, Brother Xiu Yan and Brother Ying Yan have gone on ahead to investigate, and have yet to return." His voice was heavy with worry. Hearing this, Ying Da was taken aback. He quickly flew forward, intently observing the beasts lurking in the forest; indeed, the numbers of the Beast Wave were fewer than half of the previous day’s count. He couldn’t help but feel delight: "Is the Beast Wave about to recede?" The Eagle Orc responded, "We can’t be certain yet. We’ll have to wait for Brother Xiu Yan and Brother Ying Yan to return before we will know for sure." Then he looked at Ying Da, "We have decided not to hunt today and instead wait here for them. Once you have completed your duties, you may return first." Ying Da shook his head, "I will wait with you. I, too, am eager to know if the Beast Wave is truly receding." The two beasts nodded but said nothing more, continuing to gaze into the distance. By the time the afternoon sun was about to set, the three beasts had already landed on a tall tree. "Will Brother Xiu Yan and Brother Ying Yan be able to return today? It has almost been an entire day," one of the beasts said with some worry. Ying Da also felt worried. There were only two of them left, "Should we go look for them?" The two brothers looked at each other with hesitation before finally nodding in resolution, "Let’s go find them." With that said, the three beasts flapped their wings and flew towards the forest. "Where do you think you’re going instead of staying in the tribe?" a familiar voice called out from behind the three beasts. The two brothers quickly turned around and, sure enough, the ones flapping their wings not far from them were none other than Xiu Yan and Ying Yan. Ying Da scratched his head, "We were worried about you and thought to find you. We didn’t realize you were already on your way back." Ying Yan nodded at him, "Thanks for looking after my two younger brothers today." Ying Da dismissed the thanks with a wave of his hand, "No, no, we just waited here for some time, we didn’t do anything and didn’t look after anyone." After saying so, he looked towards them, "They told me you went to investigate the Beast Wave. Is the Beast Wave truly retreating?" Ying Yan nodded firmly, "Yes, it is retreating. Only a few groups remain and we believe that they will soon leave as well." Overjoyed, Ying Da launched into a few circles of flight, then looked towards them, "Thank you for informing me. I will go back now and share the good news with our tribespeople."
