Chapter 201: Chapter 200, Falling Ill_1
"Where did this beast come from?" Bosson asked, raising his thickly wrapped beast skin-booted foot to nudge the creature lying in the snow, addressing his question to his fellow tribesmen.
A grey-haired Orc scratched his head, "I saw a snow hare and wanted to catch it, but this orc rushed out from the forest. I was preparing to fight, but he collapsed in the snow and went still."
(Buddy, bad news, you just got bamboozled.)
Bosson raised an eyebrow, "A few of you, lift him. When we rest in the cave up ahead, we’ll wake him up and ask."
The Orcs nodded, clumsily lifting the hay-filled beast and trailing behind Bosson in the same direction.

"Ah Nuan, Spirit Child has been crying non-stop today. I don’t know what’s wrong; it’s making me so upset." Red-eyed Ge Ye clung onto Ji Nuan’s arm, her eyes filled with helpless pity.
Ji Nuan wrapped an arm around her shoulder, gently patting her back, "Where are the others?"
Ge Ye pouted, "They went to find a mother Sheep Beast. You said that it’s better for young cubs to drink milk, so we thought we should give him some as he grows older."
Sighing, Ji Nuan got up, put on her beast skin cloak, grabbed the small medicine basket on the table, took Ge Ye’s hand and walked out, "Let’s go, I’ll see what’s wrong with the little one."
In Ge Ye’s house.
The baby cub was pitifully lying on the beast skin, upon hearing someone enter, he only lazily fluttered his eyelids, not even bothering to open his eyes. His little nose was dry, and his breathing was heavy—it was a heartbreaking sight.
Ge Ye’s eyes welled up, and she broke down in tears, "Ah Nuan, look at him. What’s wrong with the cub? It breaks my heart."
Cradling the cub in her lap, feeling the shallow breaths of the little one on her hand alarmed Ji Nuan. She felt his body, her face turned serious!
"The cub has a fever. Didn’t you notice?" Ji Nuan asked Ge Ye.
Still in a state of shock, Little Ye Zi’s tears instantly poured out, "I didn’t know! The cub likes to sleep on the heated platform, so I thought he was warm because of that...I...wha...wha...wha!"
Ji Nuan didn’t say anything; Ge Ye was like the young cub in temperament, yet to mature. She must be terrified about the cub’s condition.
"Alright! It’s not that serious. Fetch a basin of warm water from the stove."
After gently bathing the cub, who cooed in comfort, Ji Nuan and Ge Ye exchanged relieved glances at the sight of the content tiny creature.
Throughout the night, with several rounds of gentle bathing, they finally managed to lower the chubby cub’s temperature.
"There we go, the cub is fine now. You should get some rest. When your partners return, have them prepare some purple grain porridge. Both you and the cub could use some." Ji Nuan patted the slightly bruised-eyed Ge Ye, instructing her softly.
After tucking the cub in with a beast skin blanket, Ge Ye nodded, "Okay, don’t worry, I got it. Why don’t you sleep here too? You haven’t rested all night."
Before Ji Nuan could respond, a cold voice from outside the house penetrated through the walls, "No need, Nuannuan should go home and sleep."
Ji Nuan and Ge Ye exchanged looks and burst into laughter in unison.
