Chapter 254: Chapter 253, Cotton_1
Ji Nuan pondered, like a cloud?
She didn’t even bother to look at the size demonstrations by the orcs because the difference in plant sizes between this world and China was too huge.
Following the orc into an area piled with green mud, the curiosity-driven orcs were already huddled around. As the orcs on the outer edges of the crowd saw Ji Nuan approaching, they quickly parted ways, shouting, "Here comes Ji Nuan! Step aside! What are you still doing here? Be careful, or Xiu Yan might beat you all up!"
In an instant, the crowd of orcs parted like the Red Sea did for Moses, creating a wide pathway.
Ji Nuan was covered in cold sweat. Were you all so eager to make way, not for my convenience to see the plant, but for fear of Xiu Yan beating you up?
Walking amidst the horde of orcs, there they were, three orcs holding cotton-like wads of varying sizes?
Ji Nuan’s eyes lit up. This must be cotton!
Aside from the size, it almost looked exactly the same!
She went up briskly to have a better look and was about to touch it when a large slender hand grabbed her at the very last moment.
Ji Nuan grimaced in frustration. Without a second guess, she knew whose hand it was. In the Watson Tribe, no other orc would dare to grab her hand like that, except Xiu Yan.
Turning her eyes around, sure enough, it was the stern orc, Xiu Yan, who was frowning at her.
His ink-black handsome face made Ji Nuan’s small heart thump. She asked cautiously, "What’s wrong? Who has upset you? You look so unhappy."
Xiu Yan’s slightly forceful pull brought her close. He frowned and said, "Touching this stuff makes you feel awful. Don’t touch it."
So, he was worried about her!
Ji Nuan laughed, "I know. I’ve asked the orcs to fetch some water. I’ll wash my hands right after I touch it."
Xiu Yan’s frown didn’t lift, "I’ll hold it for you to see. You shouldn’t touch it. It feels terrible, like a constant itch. Don’t touch it!"
Ji Nuan said laughingly, "If I don’t touch it, I won’t know what it is or what it can be used for. Just let me see what it is, okay?"
Seeing the determination in the cub’s eyes, Xiu Yan reluctantly relented, "Be careful then. Just scratch a little bit, don’t touch too much! It’s really itchy."
He was so serious and stern as if he was a rigorous scholar.
Ji Nuan nodded obediently, nearly sworn to the lamp, "Don’t worry, I will just scratch a tiny bit."
Finally, Xiu Yan let Ji Nuan proceed with a worried expression on his face.
Ji Nuan went over to the pile of "cotton," picked up a tiny piece, and rubbed it between her fingers. Her eyes started to sparkle. This was indeed cotton!
Why would cotton appear at this time?
Does cotton in this world ripen around this time?
Ji Nuan put down the cotton in her hand and was about to turn away when her white, delicate paw was grabbed and put into a basin of water, "Rinse it quickly! Does it itch?"
Ji Nuan was somewhat confused, "I didn’t even feel it before you put my hand in the water."
The orcs were taken aback, "We start itching unbearably after only slightly touching it."
All the orcs who had suffered the torment of cotton nodded sympathetically. They looked at the soft thing on the ground with apprehension.
"Roar~" Suddenly several chubby cubs darted out from under the orcs’ feet, diving headlong into the pile of cotton.
