Chapter 6: Married To a Monster Abrielle kicked her legs at Cedric as she tried to pry his hand from her neck. She was running out of breath, and her eyes turned dark. She cursed herself for forgetting a piece of important information about Abrielle's and Cedric's dynamic. This guy was a monster that always put Abrielle's life in danger every chance he lost his temper due to his psychotic behaviour, and still, despite everything, she was head over heels for this monster. "Let go. I am running out of breath," she could barely say as she felt her conscience slipping away and his grip only tightened. She kicked at his firm chest with her legs but he didn't bulge most slightly. "Are you planning on killing me?" She asked him, trying so hard to fight for her life. Fear gripped her heart because it looked like he had the intention to kill her. "Since you love to escape and run away. Why can't you escape now?" He scoffed at her and the hatred she had for him doubled instantly. He was a fucking devil. She imagined how she would stab his heart a thousand times until he died, but that could only happen in her imagination because it seemed like she was the one who was destined to die first. She had not even lived up to a day in this world and she was about to die. At that point, her eyes went dark, and death was knocking at her door; Cedric finally let go of her neck, and she fell on the floor, gasping for air. Her left hand, which was tied to Cedric, was hanging above as she kicked and struggled to breathe so badly. His fingerprints were on her neck, and he didn't even look the slightest bit disturbed by her predicament. Cedric pulled out a dagger and brought it towards her. Her heart started to beat out of control thinking this monster was about to end here. She tried to get up and make a run for the door but she couldn't make it as her hand was to bind to him. "Please don't kill me if not, the temple and the Nightshade family will be after you, and you will never beat the crown prince to be king. " She barked at him but he didn't stop but had an amused grin on his face. He probably thought she was joking. Cedric pulled his hand forward and yanked her towards him. He made her sit on his lap, and then he grabbed her small face in his large palm. "What makes you think I am scared of your family?" He sneered. She felt like she was trapped in his clutches as his fingers pierced into her skin. She was scared to shit and asked herself why the hell did she write the villain to be this twisted. Abrielle could not reply because of his firm hold on her jaw. "Speechless are you?" He taunted. She shot daggers at him with her eyes glaring so hard that if looks could kill, Cedric would be dead by now. She wanted to kill this vile mistake of nature so badly. Cedric then leaned towards her neck with his nose grazing across her skin. His fan breath gave her jolts of shivers. He then whispered into her ears with his charming voice that sounded nothing except the voice of a bewitching devil. "Don't you ever try something that stupid again because if I catch you, there will be consequences that can even cost you your life, Princess Abrielle Von Drakkar? I don't mind being known as the man who killed his wife." His voice was seductive as he threatened me. Abrielle swallowed hard not because of the threat but because of what she was up against. He bit her jaw lightly which caused her to yelp. Then the bastard used the opportunity to steal a kiss, sealing his lips with hers and using the opportunity of his shock to slip his tongue into her mouth. The kiss was just like the first time with a fiery intensity that was consuming her soul. She fought hard against him and refused to succumb using all her strength as his tongue ravaged inside his mouth. As a lady, she bit his lips so hard it bled out, making her taste the metallic taste of his blood on her tongue, but it didn't stop him; instead, he was consumed by a greater lust he could not understand to consume her body, soul and mind. He was sucking every breath from her lungs and her life force. She slammed and pounded on his chest hardly to get him to stop. Cedric froze when he tasted something salty in his mouth and he was stunned to realize she was crying. He pulled away, and in a fit of anger, Abrielle slapped him hard on his face. "Monster." She cried out with her eyes filled with so much hatred, the same one he had been seeing since the day he was born, but for a strange reason, he didn't like the way she stared at him. He must be losing his mind, he thought. An evil smile graced his lips that terrified her. Why was she so stupid that she slapped him? She tried to move away, but he was straddling her on his lap with his hand firmly on her waist. "A monster?" He chuckled. "Yes, dear princess, I am a monster, the one you are stuck with until death." He said with a condescending tone. Despite the smile on his face Abrielle could sense a sad undertone that made her feel guilty. Cedric picked up the dagger from earlier to tear the white bond tying their hands together. Then, he licked his lips, and the injuries disappeared immediately like it was never there. It stunned her because she couldn't remember the villain having such healing abilities. Even the wound on his palm from the wedding was gone. He pulled her hand close to his lips and then licked the injury, which disappeared immediately. "You shouldn't slap someone that hard. It will make your fragile palms ache." He said with a tender tone that left her dumbfounded she could not understand his actions. Cedric stared at her with a wicked grin. "This marriage will be interesting. You should try to sleep, the journey will be long." He then carried her off his lap before signalling the couch man to stop. The carriage was pulled to a halt and the door opened. One of the knights gave him a pair of boots. "The horse is ready sire." He informed Cedric who gave Abrielle a last glance before leaving the carriage. She stared badly at her left palm, which was completely healed, then at her ring finger, which now had a tattoo formed there in a strange design that circled it like a ring due to the marriage ritual. ' Who exactly had I gotten married to?' she asked herself. She heard the horses neigh, followed by the sound of stomping hooves, and then the carriage started to move.
