Chapter 31 - The argument during dinner "Is something wrong, master?" I asked, barely turning my face to Ki-hoon who wasn't relenting on showing how jealous he was. Why the jealousy though? Was this something to be jealous about? Anyway, I acted like I didn't know why so he would just make his demand and be done with it. Ki-hoon cleared his throat and shamelessly said, "I think we've grown close enough to drop formalities," he said, "You should call me Hyung instead of master," "Hey, you're being a copycat." Min-Cheol quickly accused him. Please, you two are giving me a headache. I wish I could say that out loud. Ki-hoon probably wanted this from the moment we got over our differences and cleared up the misunderstanding, but didn't know how to bring it up. So this was the perfect opportunity for him. "Since you're older than me, why not?" I answered with a beaming smile, hoping to just get over with it and dig into the meal in front of him but Min-Cheol suddenly started sulking. What now? "Is something wrong, Little Min?" I asked, a little sweat dropping at the corner of my cheek expressing how I wished I didn't have to deal with either of them. "Hmph," he folded his arms and sulked like a kid. "When I asked you to call me Little Min, you were very reluctant but when this old man asked you to call him Hyung, you began to beam and agreed right away." He said and banged his fist on the table. "It's not fair." I sighed inwardly. Please, life is not fair. Just allow me to eat my food in peace. "Do you like the old man more than me?!" He asked after slamming his hand on the table a second time, shaking the utensils and dishes. "Please don't overthink it, Little Min." How to appease a childlike character like him? "I agreed because Little Min already said it was okay?" "I did." "You know. I was reluctant because I didn't know if I could get that close and personal with my masters but you said it was fine. So, that's why I don't feel reluctant if the other masters want me to call them informally. Do you understand?" Of course he understands. He just wants to make things difficult for me. "But I meant only for me," he said and I rolled my eyes away. Here we go with the drama. "I said it was only okay if you called me Little Min since you're older than me. Only me." "But this master also said it's okay," I said, trying hard to keep my expression from falling in rage. "I think we can all get along so," "If you're going to be a brat about it, I'll let him call me by my first name instead," Ki-hoon said with a sneer but Min-Cheol hated that idea even more. "What? No way! I don't want that." He anxiously said as he clenched his fists on the table. It looked like he hated this idea more. I looked at his clenched and trembling fists. He was really being such a brat about it. Did I look like a toy he could keep to himself or something? I currently probably looked like a toy that he was infatuated with and when he didn't need me anymore, he'd probably throw me out. But this guy was in his twenties, wasn't he? I was older by him by only two years so why was he acting like a kid? He was probably using this opportunity to act out since he never got to act out when he was young. He was strictly monitored when he ate, when he interacted with people and when he walked. He was trained to be the perfect Alpha for the future of the family, void of emotions that could affect his future decisions. He... wasn't allowed to be a kid. Huh, remembering that, I suddenly feel bad for him. Maybe I should pamper him a bit. Just a bit. Now that I think of it, he was probably scared that someone else would steal my attention and the newly found toy- I mean, Friend- would no longer have time for him. Since I was practically one of a kind and the only person he had actually gotten so close to... If at all we could be considered close... Then he would hate to lose me more than anything. "Alright, should we end this discussion here?" I clapped my hands, stoping them from glaring at each other any moment longer. "I don't mean to be rude but the food is getting cold and it won't take as good once it's cold." "You're right," Ki-hoon said and picked up his cutleries. "Let's eat." Finally. I was starving. I thought they had finally gone quiet but it had only been three minutes when Ki-hoon decided it was time to ask me about my condition. "So, what was the issue with your Pheromones?" Ki-hoon asked and Min-Cheol picked it up right away as if it was a competition. "Oh right. Did the doctor tell you why you can't sense your Pheromones?" He asked and glanced back at Ki-hoon in amusement. I had a feeling he was trying to act like he knew what was going on with me better than Ki-hoon did. He was such a child. Ki-hoon sensed this too but instead of acting like the adult he was, he decided to compete. "How is your fever by the way? I hope it didn't come up again." Ki-hoon said and my gaze went blank. Open your eyes. Would I be in the dinning table actively sharing this conversation with you if my fever came up again? Like seriously, it was as if they didn't want to use their brain for anything other than their silly competition. They were both so childish. Was this the sort of thing I would have to put up with everyday? God, save me from this dream. These are apparently the powerful Alphas in supposed to fear. Guess I have my work cut out for me first changing the route of the story. But well, better to have this than that.
