Chapter 110: Ah, it’s so author-like The maids came in shortly, and I knew I had to calm down, or word would reach my masters that I was ’having a fever’ because of my flushed expression. I might just be exaggerating it, but who knows? They were so unpredictable. I saw May and April. Faces I hadn’t seen in a while. Oh, right. I saw their faces the previous night, but anywho... I took my bath with their help, and I noticed the scar that had just healed on my forehead. Well, it wasn’t very noticeable since my hair covered it up, but it was still a scar. I guess this was what caused my bleeding. But was such a small injury enough to push me to death’s door? I was bleeding a lot too, I could tell, even though I was falling unconscious at the time, because of how much blood dripped down my head. It was either it looked small but was mighty or... The blood didn’t belong to me. Anyway, that was the past. After my bath, I got to wear something more casual for the first time. Since they were worried I was still sick, I had to wear a sweater. I wore a rather loose milk colored sweater on top of a grey shirt. Luckily, I wasn’t hot, so it did feel stuffy, and the air did feel cold, so the outfit was just nice. I felt so free in these clothes and thanked the maids who bowed their heads as they had only done their duty. "Now," I looked around my room. "Do I just wait for them?" I was sure they would hurry up with their baths so they could come out and wait for me, but surprisingly, I was done before them. And because of this... I snickered... I felt this was the perfect opportunity to elude them before they found me. I walked towards the drawer next to the headboard of my bed and pulled out the first drawer. There, I found the book Min-Cheol had gotten me. The one he said he got the author to sign. I was so glad I took note of where he kept it. I might not know the author, but I was excited to read a popular book that had been signed by the author himself. I opened the first page and saw the signature. "Ah, it’s so author-like," I mumbled, but I don’t think there’s such a thing as a signature that’s author-like. I simply felt elated. During all my tears of being an avid reader, I have never gotten a book signed by the author, so I got excited. ’Let’s get to somewhere they can’t find me first.’ If I wanted to read the book in peace, then I’d have to escape my room. Of course, they would always have ways of finding me, but I hoped to cover at least the first Chapter before they found me. I opened my door, spied my surroundings, and when I saw that the coast was clear, I made a run for it. I ran down the stairs carefully because it would be really bad and embarrassing if I were to fall and attract their attention. I rushed towards the door leading to the annex where the library was built, and then before I closed it, I scouted the place once more before dashing away in freedom. It was fun. It was as if we were playing a game of hide and seek. I got to the library and decided to head to my favorite spot. I had completely forgotten about my search for the owner of this library and simply used it however I pleased. I mean, I treated the books like they were my own babies, so I wasn’t doing anything wrong for the owner to be upset. Unless they were a stingy type, then it was all good. I decided to forget my worries and simply bury my head in my book, without anyone discovering me. I sat on the floor of my favourite spot. The library was quiet, as always, but I could still hear the soft rustle of leaves from the tree that was in view from the window at the side. My favorite spot was right next to a window because sometimes I’d like to sit on the window, let the breeze blow through me while I read. The scenery was also calming. It showed a great view of the greenery at the back of the mansion very well. Behind the mansion was a field. A well-trimmed field that I began to wonder what they did in those fields. Min-Cheol never mentioned anything about it when we toured the mansion. In fact, we didn’t even reach the fields. At the far end of the field, which I was sure I wouldn’t be walking to... Too lazy to even think about covering that distance... Was a hut. At least, it looked like a hut. Or was it a barn? Anyway, the only use for that field my mind could come up with was for golf. You know, the rich liked to do those recreational sports that didn’t need them to move their bodies too much. And if it wasn’t golf, then maybe there was a horse ranch there. Or maybe both. I had never tried golf before, and I had never ridden a horse either. I don’t remember doing any of that in the other world. In the first place, I don’t remember doing anything. My memories were already fading to that extent. Now, the only thing I know about my life from the other world is that I was a sales manager. I had a colleague named Tae-Ming. I shook my head. If I thought about it any more than this, then I would just get depressed. Let’s just read. I decided to finally focus on the book in front of me, flipping the first page when I felt a figure looming over me from the side. I gulped. The presence was scary, like a ghost, but it was daytime, so it wasn’t a ghost, and there were no ghosts in this library as far as I was concerned. I’ve spent nights here to testify to that. Then... Seo-Jun looked at me with his angry eyes flashing red and then took a step towards me. "Speak up. Who said you could come here?" I looked at him, rather shocked than scared. Did he just say this was his Library? This... This bastard was a reader?
