I asked, my words barely making it out of my mouth audibly, and he twisted his eyebrows, twisted his lips, and placed his hands on his hips. "Yeah, what about it?" He asked, and I threw my face away. Gosh, it just wasn’t done. Why? Why the hell was this guy the owner? "You’re... A reader." I muttered softly, but he was able to hear every bit of it. My shock and disbelief, he could not understand, and he would not bother to understand because he had other business with me. "Hey, you little shit, I don’t know what you’ve been scheming while I wasn’t around but let me tell you this, those schemes won’t work on me." He said, grabbing my arm in an instant. It was a speed I couldn’t evade even if I wanted to. I flinched as his grip tightened, and it kept getting tighter as if he was planning to break my bones. He was hurting me and intentionally at that. "What?" He looked at me with a smug. "Can’t take it? They said you were scared of pain, but you’re not even crying at this point. Do I have to break your hand first before you feel the need to surrender?" I felt anxious. This man was dangerous and beyond my ability to handle. But as much as it hurt... As much as his grip on my hand made me squirm in pain, I didn’t want to say it. I sealed my lips, stubbornly refusing to admit defeat. I don’t believe he would try something that reckless when he knows the other masters support me. Hell, I hoped. Because I knew this guy was too unpredictable to rely on.
