Chapter 167: Call me next time So, let me get this straight. Lee Ki-hoon, the owner of the Lee group, a powerful Alpha, and one of my masters, went on a stroll but then decided to check how I was doing through the security camera in my room. But because he didn’t see it, he got scared and checked the rest, only to find me and Seo-Jun in the dining table. Well, I don’t know how much he saw but he definitely saw Seo-Jun, based on what he just said. And because of that, he rushed back from his stroll. He was probably far off, so that was why he appeared to have taken a dip in his own sweat, looking all sexy and fit, ahem. And he did that, all because I was having dinner with Seo-Jun and hadn’t called him. Did I get that right? It looked like I did. What would you call that kind of behavior if not jealousy? Should I call him envious either? But it stank of jealousy so I’ll just say he was jealous. "I..." I paused. What do I say? From the looks of it, he might not believe me if I said I didn’t have dinner with Seo-Jun since Seo-Jun was at the dining table. And what should I say concerning the fact that I didn’t call them? ’Oh, I know you all have been watching me so I was sure you already knew what I was doing.’ If I said that, I might end up putting them on the spot again. Well, let’s take a gamble. "What’s this, Hyung?" I asked, my lips widening in a grin. "If you want to have dinner with me, you can just say so." I said and laughed. "I met Master Sun at the dining table when I got down. And as for why I didn’t tell anyone else," I lowered my gaze a little, my smile fading sàdly. "I knew you’d all be busy. So, I didn’t want to bother anyone." I didn’t lie. At least. "Don’t mind that, Jo-Pil. No matter how busy we are, we can still make time for you." I’m sure you can. "I don’t know about the others but I will definitely throw everything aside if it’s for you." Please, don’t do that. "So," he lowered his gaze, his hand on his chest. "Call me next time. Don’t think I’m too busy. I’m not busy." Yeah, you say that but you still went on a stroll to cool your head because you’re stomped with the work you have in hand. Don’t lie to yourself because of me, Ki-hoon. Hmm, if Ki-hoon is like this, then does that mean the others haven’t seen me yet? If they did, they would’ve reacted the same way Ki-hoon reacted. ’Hmm,’ I closed my eyes, tilted my chin up a bit, and thought. ’Maybe, I should have surprised them after all.’ There’s no use dwelling on that anymore. Then, should I be glad that I at least figured out that they weren’t watching me 24/7 while they weren’t with me? I mean, it makes me feel a little bit at ease. "Then, do you want to have dinner with me now?" I asked him and he nodded immediately, his eyes glittering in anticipation. I ate to my fill but there was still room for dessert. So, while he was eating, I would be having dessert. That should make up for his sincerity, right? ’Should I call the others at this point? I fear they might be skipping their meals.’ I thought, but with one look at Ki-hoon’s excited face, I could tell that he would be disappointed if it turned out to be not just the two of us but four people at the dining table, and my attention got split. The others would definitely feel disappointed if they misunderstood that I had dinner with Seo-Jun and then had my dessert with Ki-hoon without calling the rest of them. Let’s keep that a secret, shall we? "But... Are you sure you can eat like that?" I asked, looking down at his sweaty body. "Will you feel comfortable?" "Don’t worry about it, Jo-Pil." He said but then he looked a little worried. "But does it bother you?" He asked. "No, not at all." I answered. They say when one sweats, they end up secreting more Pheromones than normal, so I believe that’s the reason why he smells so good even when he’s sweating so much. ’It’s not like normal sweat so I can’t help but feel comfortable around him. It’s almost as if he’s trying to calm me down.’ I thought and then smiled at him. That was so like him. "Then, Jo-Pil," he suddenly leaned in, and I thought he was going to whisper into my ear, but he suddenly reached his arm below my butt. "Excuse me." He grabbed both my thighs and lifted me off my feet. I quickly wrapped my arms around his neck in fright. What did he think he was doing? "You’ve been standing because of me," he said and I pushed my head back. Our eyes met. Our faces were so close and he was smiling like a saint. "So, I’ll carry you in the most comfortable way down to the dining table. Just leave it to me." With my legs wrapped around his body and my arms holding onto his shoulder tightly, I pursed my lips, wondering if he was a doll who didn’t know the concept of giving a heads-up warning when doing something like this. I thought I was going to fall because I didn’t know what he was up to. But after getting balanced and understanding what he was after, I couldn’t help but flush. He was that kind of person. The kind who would make my heart leap in fright and then melt with his warmth. Gosh, what was he doing to me? "Next time," I said, roaming my fingers through his suspiciously dry hair. "Please give me a heads up. My heart... Just can’t take it." I said and he flushed. What? What’s that? What did he think I was talking about? Don’t flush like I said something swear, idiot. I mean it. My heart nearly leaped out of my mouth, so give me a heads-up next time. But my mind could only rage with these thoughts while I smiled at him warmly as he replied, "I got it."
