I mumbled and looked at Min-Cheol, who worriedly watched him take me away. Because I said it was fine, Min-Cheol couldn’t interfere, but it didn’t mean he was okay with it. I at least waved at him so he’d know I was okay and didn’t need to worry too much. I watched him grit his teeth and then turned around to head to his room. He was probably going to take a bath. I sighed. It was for the best. "You’re as light as paper. What are your all so caring masters feeding you?" He asked, and I clicked my tongue. "I just woke up from a coma." I pointed it out to him. "Am I supposed to weigh a dozen pounds?" Once again, he smacked my ass and I got teary eyed. "Ah, I love this position." He said. "I can easily punish you when you speak without a proper filter in your mouth. I’m your master, don’t forget that." You’re an evil master. I wanted to cry. It hurt so much to have my ass spanked. He just so happen to know exactly where to go to get this things because it was his freaking Library. I was so jealous. He was living the life we readers dream to live if we were suddenly blessed with wealth. "Does it still hurt?" He asked, and I shot him a glare. How dare he ask me something like that? He chuckled in excitement as he watched me glare at him. He drew the chair in front of me, turned it around, and threw his leg over it, sitting down and resting his arms on the chair head. There was a table between us, but I was sure that table wouldn’t be able to stop this man if he decided to leap towards me and try something funny. And I wouldn’t be able to run because my butt was throbbing. I bit my lip in anger as I glared at him. Well, let’s not give him the chance to act funny. "You look cuter when you’re mad." He said, and I could tell he was loving this. Him loving this situation made me even more mad, and I hissed at him like the serpent he was and opened the book. "I’ll start," I said, picking up the pen. He was waiting for me to say that all along so he could ask his own question. "How do you know the books aren’t in this world when you haven’t even read all the novels in this world?" He asked, and I rolled my eyes away. "It’s a trade secret." I think that was going to be my new watchword. "Okay, let’s take it that it’s indeed a trade secret and that there are really other worldly books that you’ve read and are now stored in your head." He said and unfolded his arms from on top of the chair. "But let me warn you. I’ve read all the novels in this library, and the novels are all up to date. You can’t trick me." I paused, stunned. I turned to look at the library. He had read all the books in this huge library? Maybe the history books weren’t included, I’d like to think so, but it was still... "What?" He folded his arms again, and I turned to him. "Having second thoughts about deceiving me?" He asked. "It’s just... You’re amazing." I said to him, which caught him by surprise. "It’s truly impressive that you’ve read so many books. I mean, I have read a lot of otherworldly books but..." I looked him in the eye and genuinely said, as a fellow book lover. "You’re really extraordinary." I smiled. "I’m impressed." Oh, snap. I lost control of my emotions for a moment and smiled. I promised not to smile at him, but I did. And all for the love of books. Did he notice? I peeked at his expression to find him staring at me, frozen like a piece of art. He looked... Handsome. But then he broke out of his frozen state and said, "I certainly am impressive." Tut, that narcissist. But from the looks of it, by the way he suddenly paused, staring in shock after I said my piece, it was as if no one had told him something like that. As if... It was the first time. I brushed my cheeks with my palm. I don’t want to get ahead of myself and think I did something to make his achievement feel special, but... How could I ignore it after seeing that look in his eyes? "I guess I got one smile today," he said, and I flinched. "And I didn’t even do much." "Ah," I bowed my head as I wrote the title of the book in front. "You still have a long way to go, master." He sat on the chair properly, leaning his chin on the back of his palm, and smirked. "I see that. But one is better than nothing. I’ll have you in my bed soon. So you can run for now, bunny. Run while I’ll take my time to catch you." Jeez, this guy. It seems I have to set the difficulty level higher from now on and control my emotions. Our connection with books is making this harder than I thought.
