Chapter 46: My Obscene Queen Lethia was deep in her darkest—most sinful, no-way-out—phase of life. She clung to her survival instinct instead of whatever was left of her fragile feelings. She needed to get rid of the fox soon. Even if that damned fox had promised her some kind of power—whatever the hell that meant—she didn’t give a shit. The more questions she asked, the more time that bitch would steal from her. And she didn’t have the damn luxury to waste time now. So whatever she was doing now was just to get her to that bitchy fox’s endgame faster. No detours. Even though, of course, she did feel bad for Renar and Caelum, because she was going to mess with their feelings too. But what choice did she have? What the hell else could she do but keep going? Their eyes stayed locked—like a battle of wills—waiting to see who would surrender first. She could feel Caelum’s grip on her waist tighten, sending a tickling sensation dancing along her spine and raising goosebumps all over her skin. But that wasn’t the only thing rising. She could feel the bulge pressing against her stomach, and it felt like it was ready to rise, too. Caelum stopped Lethia’s naughty hand on his chest by catching it in his grasp. "I think my cute and sweet behaviour made you misunderstand me, my naughty queen," he murmured, pulling her soft hand to his greedy lips and leaving kisses across her knuckles. The soft press of his lips against the back of her hand made Lethia’s gaze flicker. That tenderness struck her chest like a drumbeat, then dropped straight down, pulsing at her very core. "Misunderstand?" Her corrupted gaze demanded an answer from his hazy, heated eyes. She could see it, he was barely hanging on. His gaze kept flickering to her lips, unable to hide the strain. "Among the Tuffin Young Masters," he said with a deep, restrained breath, "I’ve got the best ability to hold back my urges... even with your scent is this damn tempting." His arm tightened around her waist, pulling her flush against him, close enough for her to feel the hard bulge straining behind his trousers. "But once I set my mind to something..." He leaned in, his voice darker now. "There’s no way I’d let you out of here until morning. I warned you, didn’t I?" "I won’t kiss you unless you ask for it. And this..." His grip on her wrist tightened as he lifted it toward his lips, hovering it there. A warm breath escaped him, slow and intentional, washing over her skin like a silent promise. "Your naughty fingers have invited me, haven’t it?" Caelum’s voice was a breath against Lethia’s palm, low and teasing, almost a whisper. His warm breath kept washing over her skin, making her hand tremble in his grasp. Lethia wondered... should she go all the way with Caelum tonight? The stage needed for the bead fox to finally merge into Caelum’s body depended on his feelings—when he liked her, when he wanted to protect her, and when he knotted inside her.
