But the stronger one is that it looked like Amy deliberately separated those bills from the others, which made me suspicious." Lethia turned to her. "Amy?" Chasey pouted. "Yeah... that bitch who tried being all friendly with me just to get close to Adam," she huffed, irritated. "I thought I could get some dirt from her without doing a crime. But I couldn’t handle the way she kept flirting with Adam. Ugh." Lethia frowned. "Crime? What did you do?" Chasey just grinned wider, throwing her a sly side-eye. "You don’t need to know about the dirty hands, Queen. I’ve got a solid partner in crime. So don’t worry too much." Lethia found herself feeling genuinely grateful. At first, she had promised something to Chasey and Adam just to get them on her side. But seeing how far Chasey was willing to go for her... it softened her heart. Maybe it was time to finally consider them both as friends. Lethia exhaled slowly. "Have you told Adam yet? About your bond?" Chasey’s grin dropped at once. Her face sank as she let out a heavy sigh.
