Chapter 91: A Vorrakyn is here

Serenthar was surprised as the lance rammed into his chest just below his ribs. He took several steps back. "How can your....!" Bang! The lance exploded, tearing through his chest with a wave of dark energy that tore through his ribs, blasting away chunks of flesh. Serenthar staggered backward, his hands rising to check the gaping holes in his chest. He took several steps backward and he just stared at the carriage in sheer surprise. "You....what are you?" Vacuse smiled, his face stiff. "An SSS ranked." Serenthar gave him an honest look of respect. "You’re supposed to be a monster. I can’t even imagine what you will turn out to be. Unfortunately, we won’t be here to witness it." His wound squirmed and strings began to connect the flesh together, stitching into unblemished skin. And within a breath, his wound was whole once again, but more cracks appeared on his face as he used more energy. "Do you know the Emperor is an SS? So are the Imperial princess and princes. But you? You are SSS and a Dragon! I really want to witness that growth." Even as he was speaking, his fingers flickered over the shield and the light was dimming already. The shield wouldn’t be able to withstand it for long. Vacuse took a deep breath. The only path to his survival was to do the most extreme thing he could think of. ’....Rith....I think...you have to do what you did the other time, the thing with the eye but most importantly...or you can add more....draw more power from the Void Dragon...’ Rith snickered in his mind. ’...you have the blood of an SS Dragon in your hand, the concentrated blood that you can use. I think I should be able to draw power through it...’ ’...But... it’s going to cost you...it might even destroy your soul space, do you want to continue...’ Vacuse gritted his teeth. "As much as I’m alive, then I can still strive to get more power. I must make it out alive. Prepare yourself, Void Dragon!" Vacuse raised the ring up, the red light on it glittering coldly. Serenthar snorted. "You will get out of this alive, but I’m not sure you’ll get out after!" Vacuse’s face tightened and his eyes lit up with cruel light. Since he was reborn, he had never been in a situation where he had no tricks up his sleeve and the thought only made him angry. But then. Something changed. They all felt it at the same time. A baleful aura passed above them so intense everyone froze, including Serenthar. They looked up as one as the pressure bore down on them like a beast about to devour. What the fuck? Serenthar looked up with eyes flickering with fear and shock. "What’s this..." They all smelled the ozone that suddenly filled the air, a scent of metallic rust. An expression of pain showed on Serenthar, as outside, the snap of strings breaking sounded. "My constructs...." Meanwhile, outside. The different Captain Mera were looking up at the sky in different expressions of surprise. They didn’t seem to care anymore about the bee constructs devouring their bodies. As one, their voices lifted. "This is him? He came here?" The sky had darkened, angry darkness had covered the sky and between them, darting between, was lightning, rumbling so loud the ground shook. Lightning and thunder. A shattering sound of cracking power that made the hair of every single person below stand on end, and the pressure that bore down on their mind and soul made them begin to sweat. Every single human and Orc looked up into the sky with their mouths slightly open in shock. Then the pressure changed. The aura appeared razor-sharp. Small sparks appeared in the air like little blades. Snap! Snap! Snap! The air lit up with countless silver lights as the strings shone brightly, all of them looking like the hair of some god. The sparks ran between the strings and snapped them away. The cloud of bee constructs began to fall immediately. One of the guards shouted in fear. "Who is that!" "Another Black Accord member?" "What now? What is happening now?" But Captain Mera was showing an unconcerned face. "He’s here! A Vorrakyn is here!" She smiled and shouted in a louder voice. "The High Commander is here! A Vorrakyn has arrived!" A streak of silver light flashed through the air and a man that seemed to be dancing between the lightning appeared. His face seemed to be carved from stone and his eyes shone with brilliant intensity. He held a spear in his hand and as he shot down, he threw it at the dome. Bang! The spear glowed, gathering lightning as it came down and suddenly, it became the brightest thing in the area. Bang! It slammed into the dome with a mighty crash that shook the ground and all the constructs turned into molten metal immediately. The aftereffect shockwave rammed into Serenthar and the carriage, so strong that what remained of the carriage shield cracked and shattered. Vacuse was thrown into the other occupants violently as the carriage flipped away with force. He cursed as everything whirled around him and he felt flashes of pain. Serenthar hit the ground and was immediately up, his eyes narrowed with anger. "Who are you?" From the window, Vacuse had righted himself enough to see what was happening again. He saw the dark sky and the lightning that danced in it. The man that looked to be in his forties floated close to Serenthar. "You are part of the Black Accord?" His voice was a soft rumble and his eyes looked hooded, but the red in them couldn’t be hidden and it shone with cruel light. Serenthar’s hands puckered the air and strings appeared around him, shooting forward like arrows. The man frowned. "You didn’t answer my question!" His voice roared with the loudness of thunder that shook the ground and pierced bones. His eyes gleamed, the red shimmering with silver akin to lightning. "Fine. I’ll just kill you."
