Chapter 133 - 133: War

That midnight, something happened. If one was to observe the First General's fortress from high above, what they would see would be flickering red light that twisted and occasionally shot out of the fortress and into the sky. And if one was to trace the small streak of light that shot away into the sky, they would follow it to the capital of the Warbine Clan territory, a big city of bustling Orcs. The lights then entered the grandest building there which was the Stronghold of the High Chief and directly to the communicative artifacts. "The High Chief sent orders down! We are starting the Unity Orders!" "Third General, please give the follow up orders to forward the transmission to the other fortress!" "Accepted!" "Until the return of the High Chief and the Elders, the Third General, the only general in the city at the moment, is given command and should act as the central chain of command! "Martial law is now declared and effective on all the Warbine territory! "Effective immediately, in the name of the High Chief of the Warbine, we declare war on the other Clans! Notify all our allies! The signal will be the War artifact! "Starting from today, the Warbine claims the right to rule all Orcs! The Chief of Chiefs has come!" The orders echoed through the whole city, directly from the communication artifact and with the High Chief's voice. Everyone, no matter where they were, heard it and they were left shocked. But they bowed low. "So says the High Commander!" "Your orders will be followed, Chief of Chiefs!" Voices lifted in the city. The Warbines would go to war once more! But things had not even ended in the First General's fortress. Although most of the roof on the biggest building had been destroyed, there was still enough for three people to stand on. High Chief, First General, and Lord Valka. The High Chief's face was grim. "I have lived for three hundred and something years. But I did not reach the transcendent level to be immortal. I saw part of the decline of the Vorrakyn family, and like my fathers, I wanted their lands and territory to spit on them. "But I was only foolish. The Vorrakyn are in the Empire. The Warbines cannot fight the Empire, but the Orcs can fight the Empire. With our current power, it is not a boast to say we can wipe out the Dragons, but then what? The Azgarath Empire would crush us for sure. "Valka, I spent my life preparing for the war with the others, but we need to turn our sword inward. The Orcs must form under one banner or we will not survive this coming storm!" Hesitantly, as if he was not used to thinking about those kinds of things, Valka asked, "Storm?" "Can't you see it? A storm is coming. Powers that should be sleeping are waking up. The world is starting a new era!" The High Chief looked at his son. "I have started a war and I might not finish it. That will be your job. I will leave you at the First General's side to learn." Valka felt as if what the High Chief, his father, was saying was mostly in half riddle, but he did not say anything. He just nodded. The High Chief raised his two hands. "The war will start now!" The First General nodded and took a deep breath. He tapped his head and thick bands of rough bloody writing appeared on his body, warping around his flesh. Then a projection of him appeared beside him, growing bigger by the second until a giant of 600 meters stood in the fortress, made of flickering red condensed light. It was none other than one of the three War artifacts of the Warbines, known as the First War General War Artifact. It was one of the reasons the First General's fortress was expanded and even built in the first place. "Frostveil Warbine, you can begin the war! The first step is the Ghorak Clan!" The Ghorak Clan was a group of small clans very close to the Warbine High Clan. But no matter how they tried, the Ghorak Clan chose to ally with another High Clan and had become something like a bone in the Warbine throat. The 600 meter projection bowed a little. "As you command, High Chief!" The First General's projection then opened his mouth wide and a loud humming sound blasted out, turning higher and higher pitched as time went on, gathering red light. Bam! A beam of piercing light blasted out with a sound like ripping flesh, cutting the wind with a howling sound. It rose high over the forest and lands, over territories and lakes. It flew over the Warbine territory, over the countless clans that made it up, and then it reached the Ghorak Clan and slammed into the center of their largest city. Crack! A loud crashing sound echoed out that shook the ground and immediately turned countless buildings to rubble. Numerous Orcs died before they even knew what was happening. Then the red light formed into a 300 meter projection of the First General, opened its mouth, and screamed. Red fist like light scattered from its mouth, small red lightning, hundreds of them scattered into the air. The balls of light would find a target and immediately warp around the Orc, draining them of energy. Then the light would get brighter and find another target before it joined the projection. And the projection itself had manifested a large warhammer and began fighting the bloodline warriors. But just as that was happening, a new streak of light slammed into a different part of the city. And then another one landed. In just a few minutes, the main city of the Ghorak Clan had been reduced to half of its population. Back in the First General's fortress, the High Chief nodded. "The Mogthrak High Clan that are allies of the Ghorak Clan will not interfere because they will be getting their own War artifact ready. But that will not do them any good! "We still have another War artifact, there is no way they can combat that. And when we see the third artifact, the Sword of Unifier, we are going to end everything!"
