Chapter 33: Pervert The alleged pervert’s eye twitched as the stick in front of him branded him as indecent. Never in his life did he think he’d be called a pervert, but here he was, the heir to the Empire being branded as one. And by a guy who even squeezed his chest every time he squeaked. "Call me that once you stop caressing—" He was going to continue until he remembered his unique constitution. He wasn’t sure if he was infectious. The researchers figured that infection was possible, but only when the other person was in a state of depletion or overwhelmed by a tremendous amount of corruption. It wasn’t easy to get contaminated, but Xavier didn’t want to risk that. Not even for someone as shady as this new roommate. So, Xavier let go of the trembling creature, only to be grasped by a slender hand. Luca watched as the guy’s eyebrow shot up questioningly. Admittedly, he was right to question his behavior because even he found it questionable. But as the Towel guy moved away from him, his body acted on its own faster than he could even judge the situation. Huh? Luca momentarily panicked as he belatedly realized what he was doing. But he felt a strong urge to touch him. Maybe it was because D-29 kept on insisting on it. But his brain had been hesitant to begin with, so why would he do something like this? However, their confusion and questions took a step back when they heard the door suddenly opening. *Whoosh* __ Outside the recently shut door was Butler Gary, who was close to demolishing the door, the wall—or whatever was necessary. It had been so long since the desire for destruction clouded his mind. As someone who retired from the military to avoid such a thing, it took all his patience not to barge in violently. If they weren’t mistaken, that was their Lord Luca, who was just abducted by a pervert right in front of their eyes. So, he decided to knock first because that was what proper donors would do instead of nuking an unsuspecting room. But to his surprise, the door just opened by itself, only to be greeted by an even worse scene. Pinned on the ground was the pervert that abducted their Lord, but— How come their Lord looked like he was dominating the pervert? His hand was positioned on his chest, with his knee in between the pervert’s legs. But even as the door opened, Luca’s hand caressed down to the guy’s abdomen, much to everyone’s shock. Everyone momentarily froze. Was he mistaken? Why did it look like it was their Lord who had his grubby hands on the stunned man? Luca wanted to cry! He felt cheated because it was not like he wanted any of this to happen! But there was something very magnetic about this guy’s abdomen. It was not because he was objectively good-looking or because he had washboard abs. It was actually because Luca’s spiritual energy kept on gravitating towards it, like metal inching towards a strong magnet. But who was going to believe him? How was he going to defend himself when he just fondled the guy who was now pinned to the ground? Anyone with at least one eye would think he was the pervert! Because even he felt like a pervert! Waaaaaaah! To make matters much worse, Luca later discovered the identity of the people before him, and all the more did he desire for the ground to just open and swallow him whole. These people were from the Duchy of Kyros. They were supposedly his people. His father sent them there to deliver some essentials as well as to donate new facilities to the school. Luca wondered why the heavens remained silent now. Back when he wanted to desperately live, he kept on being thrown into death-defying situations. Still, how come he wasn’t being subjected to it right now when he was desperately asking for divine retribution? Even as the people settled down, trying to pretend that they didn’t just witness such a scene, the people involved had overactive minds. Butler Gary was trying to think of ways to avoid getting his Lord imprisoned. How should he explain this to the Duke? At first, he was ready to commit violence to protect his Lord, but now he wasn’t sure what to do. On the other hand, Luca was still reeling from the earlier debacle. His hand still felt warm, but his heart was now burning. He was burning with embarrassment. If it was possible to get a fever from sheer embarrassment, he surmised he should have a very high fever right now. But, more than these people and the trembling hearts of the other onlookers was the mind of the confused ’victim.’ One moment, he was branded as a pervert, and then the next, he was being mauled by a chipmunk. What surprised Xavier was how he was suddenly powerless against his touch. As a well-trained soldier, in fact, one of the strongest in the Empire, he wasn’t supposed to fall from a stick’s push. But he was shocked to find himself falling to the ground from a mere bump. It was like his body went limp under his touch. The crazy part was it wasn’t from weakness. He didn’t feel like he was weakened, nor did it feel like he had been drugged. It just felt like his body was too comfortable to desire to resist. Xavier was so surprised by this that their initial posture didn’t register in his mind until he felt a wondering hand moving down to his abdomen. It was slow, and he shuddered a bit as smooth fingers traced a line downwards. As someone who hated being touched randomly, he was already preparing ways to explain why someone was about to end up in the infirmary today. His instincts took care of it most of the time, dealing with people before he even thought about it. It was not his fault. He was being molested! But he didn’t get to use this explanation. No one flew against the wall, and no one was physically hurt. It was only Xavier who earned a psychological shadow after realizing that this many people saw their indecent position. Xavier wondered if it was acceptable to get rid of this many people. If they weren’t alive, then there would be no proof that this event had ever happened. But as someone who should abide by the law they set, Xavier could only take a deep breath as he prepared to bombard this chipmunk with legal punishments. He was preparing to douse him with penalties when he looked over to his assailant, only to see his entire body flushed red. The chipmunk looked like he was ready to cry. And for all that it was worth, Xavier’s anger was instantly clipped. He couldn’t figure out what was wrong with everything. And how his afternoon turned out like this. But as he looked at the soft-looking chipmunk whose golden eyes quivered in distress, he figured he now understood how it was possible for someone so fragile to leave a wake of bleeding hearts.
