Chapter 146: Premature Now, while two people were figuring out their relationship compatibility, a few people were trying to defend their honor as gentlemen. Two, but honestly, it’d just be one person. Ollie actually thought about it, but Jax would have been caught too fast if he had been cheating. He was too honest and a bit too obsessed. And if anything, he would only cheat on vegetables and fruits as the guy was now a serial planter. But Kyle was a different thing. Ollie narrowed his eyes accusatorily at the likeliest culprit for his brother’s unfaithfulness. His good brother was rather gullible and too nice, and wolves like Kyle were bad news for such plump sheep. So, Ollie had long sworn to be a good herder who would herd his brother to the right path. It’s just that someone seems to have missed a few stories in which wolves don’t just hunt for sheep. Especially with those accused of crimes they weren’t guilty of. The blue wolf wanted to say many things but reined it because of karma. Yes, this was karma for the last time he accused the mop of a pretty long list of crimes. And now he had to pay for it tenfold. The Duke, who had been antsy since earlier, found a thing to focus on. If these were his precious son’s friends, then it would only be right to advise them to stay in the light. It was not good to be a scumbag. It was enough that they had Steward Han. "Ehem!" Duke Leander cleared his throat, cutting off Ollie’s glaring. "Now, Young men, it is not good to be unfaithful to your partners. If this is what happens to scumbags, then imagine what would happen to cheaters!" Says the Duke, who actually felt like crying as his son had just admitted to being unfaithful! "Just look at my son. And Ollie, who felt like an ungreased robot, creaked as he turned to face Kyle, who looked worse for wear. "Ah, about that, Your Grace, it is because I promised to keep his best brother happy. And right now, it doesn’t look like he’s pleased." "You see, your son is really very close to this mo—morally upright guy and would be unhappy with my current performance. So, for that, I apologize." "???" Ollie wasn’t sure what was happening, but when Kyle gripped his hair antenna, the stick trembled uncontrollably. Given the Duke’s reactions, it was apparent that he had absolutely no idea that the Captain had married Luca. And right now, pride and dignity would not let him see the next day. Now, he just needed the mop to cooperate or just not to speak at best. The Duke blinked as he processed Kyle’s words before taking back the intense heat that surrounded them. "I see. I see. You must be careful and treat each other with respect. My son must have such a great friend! And that must mean you’re a fortunate guy." Nodded the Duke as he trusted Luca’s choices in friends. "Ah, yes, Your Grace. And because of that, I feel like I don’t deserve him and would prefer he find someone else who would make him happy." Kyle immediately added. He just needed to distract the Duke from thinking about his son. Just a bit more. But Ollie, whose mouth was agape the whole time, was just stuck trying to process what had just happened. How could he be in a relationship with Kyle? How come he had no idea? Oh. Wait. Was this a cover-up? But even then! How could he?! Ollie had so many questions, but in the end, he zeroed in on the most important aspect! This was unjust! "Who told you you could dump me?" Ollie snarled suddenly, surprising everyone, especially Kyle. "..." "I’m dumping you!" Harrumphed the angry mop. Ollie was not reconciled. This was his first public relationship, and it didn’t matter if it lasted no more than a minute. He was not going to be dumped! Kyle could only breathe deeply to calm himself before saying, "Duly noted." "Hmph!" The Duke was somewhat alarmed by the situation, especially after that student’s outburst. He didn’t expect to witness the breakup of his son’s best friend and didn’t want to be caught accountable as the adult who didn’t try hard enough. The Duke was not good with this, as his wife would never allow such a breakup to happen. So, the Duke volunteered to look for his hopefully repentant son while everyone else followed behind his fleeting back. But maybe fate would really have out for certain people. Someone may have escaped the pains of a lighting tribulation but would eventually have to face the wrath of a father who had lost his precious baby son!
