Chapter 133: Scare It was cathartic. The little chipmunk sobbed for a while. He started out with a bit of guttural crying before relaxing into quieter sobs. He’d never cried like this before and found it rather difficult to stop. At one point, he thought he had taken too much time and tried wrangling himself, only to realize that he just started the waterworks again. But the young man couldn’t be further from the truth, as the Duke marveled at the different expressions his son could now make! All Duke Leander could see was his milky boy, who sparkled even as he cried. Like an automatic filter, it was impossible for him to see how much his son resembled a goldfish instead of a baby bunny. But that was how much the father loved his son. Eventually, the goldfish gathered enough strength to talk to the Duke, who was apparently really his father. Father. Yeah, it seems like he has a father now. One that kept on looking at him expectantly. The little goldfish was unsure what to do and asked, "Du—Duke, is there a problem?" The anticipating father heard this and wilted on the spot. His shoulders drooped, and the similar golden eyes dimmed like a house that missed its utility payment. Oh no! The little chipmunk panicked, unsure of what to do when faced with such a scene. And as if it was heaven’s way of making him experience the pressure of being on the receiving end of such a reaction, the small animal immediately wanted to console the sullen Duke. "Is something wrong? Are you not feeling well, Your Grace?!" "Yes! I... My heart!" Of course, the goldfish panicked once he heard about a problem with the heart and tried assisting the Duke, wondering if there was anywhere to lie down on. It was a dramatic scene reminiscent of the dramas seen by D-29 when it researched human society. The little system was actually very busy trying to determine what most humans would do in this case but realized that something was very wrong with Sid’s radio silence. In reality, it was Luca who was surprised to find that the Duke’s details had been there from the very beginning; they were just named with symbols instead of words.
