Chapter 305: A call from the butler The urgency in his kiss made her squirm under him, pulling him closer, her fingers fisting into his shirt. Her reaction made him even wilder. Augustine groaned against her lips, hands sliding down her waist, gripping her hips. Every kiss deepened, every breath shortened. Anne gasped, her body arching into his, her fingers slipping under his shirt. "I need you," she breathed, trembling in need. "All of you." The pregnancy hormones made her body flushed, her pulse racing, her need sharp and electric. She felt like her skin was too tight, like she’d combust if she didn’t have him right now. Her legs wrapped around his waist as she kissed along his jaw, biting softly at his neck, drawing a low, feral sound from his throat. They tore at each other’s clothes in a blur of frantic movements. Shirts hit the floor, then pants, and underwear. Anne’s eyes glazed with lust, lips swollen from intense kisses. "I want to feel everything." "Really," he smirked, heat spreading inside out. "Then I have to fulfil your wish." He leaned down to meet her lips, but his phone rang on the nightstand, stopping him. Frustrated, he groaned inwardly. Ignoring the call, he leaned down yet again, seeking her lips. Anne pressed her hands against his chest. "Check it first. Maybe it’s urgent." Augustine was not in the mood to talk to anyone. Yet, he obeyed her and picked up the phone from the nightstand. But the moment he saw the number, he dropped the phone back and turned his focus on Anne. "What?" Anne blinked with confusion, turning her head to look at the phone, which was still ringing. "Why aren’t you picking up the call?" "Unimportant," he muttered as he kissed her, hungrier this time, as if he had been starving for this for so long. His hands touched her everywhere, not leaving an inch. Her back arched off the sheets as he entered her, her eyes widening at the feeling of fullness. "God, Anne," he breathed. "You feel so good." Everything after that was a blur of motion. He didn’t pause, nor did he slow down. He kept moving in a rhythm, not too fast, not too slow. With every thrust, she moved higher and higher, closer to the climax. The fire burned through them like wildfire, and the urgency between them only grew with each passing moment. And then it hit. Anne’s moan grew louder, but Augustine claimed her lips, swallowing the sound she was making. She trembled and trembled under him, but he held her close, still kissing her, wild and hungry. A moment later, he reached his own climax and collapsed beside her, breathless. Anne rested her head against his chest, her fingers still trembling. "Making you satisfied is my duty," he whispered. "I’ll fulfil all your demands." He rolled out of the bed and hoisted her up into his arms. "Where are you taking me?" she asked, caught off guard. "Do you trust me?" he asked. "Of course, I trust you," she whispered. "Then don’t ask anything," he whispered back as he entered the bathroom. Anne was thrilled as she always liked sex under the shower. She wanted to see how he would make it interesting this time. He put her on her feet, and the chillness of the tiles made her shudder slightly. When the shower was turned on, the warm water cascaded down her, chasing away the chill. With hormones rushing in her veins and anticipation curling in her gut, she looked up at him, waiting to see what he would do next. He cupped her face and met her lips again. Anne didn’t hesitate. She also kissed him back, her fingers slipping into his wet hair. After a long, breathless kiss, they pulled back. Her cheeks were flushed, her lips parted, swollen from his kisses. Augustine watched her, eyes dark, hungry, and entirely focused watched her. His chest rose and fell, catching his breath. "Are you just going to stand there, watching me like that?" she asked with a teasing glint in her eyes. That was all it took. He moved in closer, his hands resting on her thighs. Then, without a word, he sank to his knees. Anne stiffened, caught off guard. She opened her mouth to ask what he was going to do. But before she could even make a sound, he parted her legs. She swallowed her words. Her body responded before her brain caught up. Augustine looked up at her, his lips curling slowly. "Still burning?" "Yes," she nodded, anticipation brimming in her eyes. "Then feel this." His hands slid up her legs slowly, his thumbs pressing into the soft flesh of her thighs. He kissed the inside of her knee, dragging his lips higher, teasing and deliberately inching toward her core. She whimpered, fingers reaching for his shoulders. When his mouth finally reached there, she gasped, head falling back against the glass wall, water running down her neck, her chest rising in quick bursts. His tongue moved with devastatingly slow, rhythmic motion, focused entirely on her. He devoured her like this was his reward and his responsibility all at once. Her moans came softly at first, then louder, echoing off the walls as his fingers joined in, curling just right, working in perfect sync with his mouth. She trembled, gripping his hair, barely able to stay standing as her knees buckled under the pressure building fast inside her. "Augus—" she started, but her voice broke into a cry as the climax hit, hard and blinding. He held her steady as she came undone, his mouth not letting up until every wave passed, until she was spent and trembling in his hands. When he finally pulled back, her body was slack against the glass wall, her eyes glassy. He rose slowly, water streaming down his face, and kissed her again, this time softly. Anne clung to him, weak and breathless. He brushed a wet strand of hair from her cheek. "Tired?" "No, but I am hungry?" she whispered, leaning into his chest. "Dinner might be ready. I’ll go ask the housekeeper to bring the food. But first, let me take you out." Augustine shut off the shower and wrapped a towel gently around Anne’s shoulders, leading her out of the bathroom. He helped her onto the bed carefully. "Rest for a while." Leaning down, he pressed a kiss to her forehead. Just then, his phone rang again. The screen lit up on the nightstand, the same number flashing across it. Augustine glanced at it, his brow tightening into a subtle frown. "Who keeps calling you?" Anne murmured, her voice heavy with drowsiness, eyes barely open. "Check it—it could be something important." "I’ll check in a minute," he said, brushing her damp hair back from her face. "Let me get your clothes first." He disappeared into the walk-in closet, reemerging moments later in his own lounge clothes. He handed her a fresh set of pajamas. "Thanks," Anne said, smiling up at him as she slipped on the soft cotton. She was relaxed now. "Come here," Augustine said, holding up the hairdryer he had already prepared. "Let me dry your hair." "I can handle it," she said, reaching for the dryer. "And you should check your phone." But he gently pressed her shoulder, guiding her to sit on the edge of the bed. "Sit. I’ll take care of it. The call can wait." The hum of the dryer filled the room, and warm air rushed over her scalp. Anne closed her eyes, the sensation calming. His fingers worked through her hair carefully, untangling knots. "So... who is this mystery caller you keep ignoring? Some woman trying to steal you from me?" she asked teasingly. Augustine paused mid-stroke. "A woman? Where do you even get these ideas?" Anne giggled, tilting her head up at him. "You have been dodging that call like you are hiding something." He let out a tired sigh, shaking his head. "It’s the Beaumont family butler. He is probably calling to invite me to dinner." She raised a brow. "And you don’t want to go?" "No," he said plainly. "Not tonight." "Why?" Anne asked, surprised. "The butler wouldn’t be calling if Grandpa hadn’t asked him to. Why are you avoiding it? What if it’s not just about dinner? What if there is something more?" Augustine stayed silent, still running the dryer gently through her hair. He had already guessed the reason. Anne’s pregnancy must have stirred things up at the Beaumont estate. Gabriel wouldn’t take the news lightly. That man had already proven how cruel he could be. He had killed Augustine’s parents, destroyed his family, and tried to eliminate him before. Now, with this new development, Augustine knew Gabriel would try something again. And he wasn’t about to let that happen, not with Anne carrying their child. His entire focus was on her safety now. But he couldn’t burden her with those thoughts. "I’ll call Grandpa back later," he said casually, turning off the dryer and brushing a hand through her now-warm hair. "Right now, you need to eat. Aren’t you hungry?" He kissed the top of her head. "Stay here. I’ll check on dinner." He grabbed his phone and stepped out of the room. After giving instructions to the housekeeper to bring the meal up, he walked straight to the study, shutting the door behind him. He exhaled slowly, then dialed the butler’s number. The call connected almost instantly. "Hello, young master Augustine," the butler said politely. "I hope I’m not disturbing you." "I was tied up with a few things," Augustine replied. "I saw your missed calls. Is everything alright over there?" The butler hesitated. He had considered telling Augustine about the heated confrontation between Gabriel and Dimitri, but knowing the chaos Augustine had already been dealing with at the Granet estate, he decided to hold back for now. "The old master would like to speak with you," he said. "If possible, he has asked that you come for dinner tonight."
