Chapter 208: You are incredibly seductive Anne quickly pressed her hand to Augustine’s lips, her eyes shimmering with emotion. "Don’t say things like that," she whispered, voice trembling. "Don’t talk about risking your life. What would I do if something happened to you?" Augustine smiled. "Nothing is going to happen to me," he said with quiet confidence. "No one can lay a hand on me. I know how to protect myself and those I care about." But his reassurance didn’t ease the worry gripping her heart. Anne threw her arms around him, holding him tightly, as if she could shield him from danger by sheer will alone. Augustine chuckled, his voice dropping to a teasing murmur. "You really have no idea what you do to me when you are this close," he whispered in her ear. "If you keep clinging to me like that, I might lose control and start something right here." Anne pulled back, eyes wide with disbelief at how effortlessly he had shifted the mood. "You are impossible," she muttered, giving him a playful shove and scooting away from his embrace. But Augustine tugged her right back into his arms, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "I’m serious. We have done it in the car before. Why not again?" Anne’s eyes flicked nervously to the front of the car. Thankfully, the driver remained focused on the road, his gaze never once straying to the rearview mirror. Still, a flush of heat crept up her neck, caught somewhere between embarrassment and the flutter of unspoken desire. "Stop it," she whispered sharply, pressing her palm against Augustine’s chest to create a bit of space. "We are not alone." Augustine barely reacted, his expression relaxed and mischievous. "He is not a problem. I could ask him to pull over, give us a few minutes alone." Anne blinked at him, utterly stunned. "Are you serious right now?" she asked, trying to hold back a laugh. "Can’t you wait? We’ll be home soon." That made him smile, less teasing this time. "Fine, I’ll wait. Only because you asked." He leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, his arms still wrapped securely around her. Anne let herself breathe. The rest of the ride passed in peaceful silence. By the time the car rolled to a stop at their destination, Anne had drifted off completely. Augustine scooped her into his arms, carrying her through the hushed villa and into the bedroom. He laid her gently on the bed, taking a moment to admire the peaceful look on her face. Hoping she was still asleep, he leaned down and brushed a light kiss against her cheek. But the moment his lips touched her skin, Anne’s eyelids fluttered open. Augustine froze, his face only inches from hers. "Sorry," he murmured. "Didn’t mean to wake you." A lazy smile tugged at Anne’s lips, eyes warm with affection. "I woke up when the car stopped. But I stayed still because... I wanted you to carry me." A flicker of surprise passed over his face, quickly replaced by a playful grin. "Oh really?" She nodded, wrapping her arms around his neck and drawing him closer. "It feels so nice being in your arms. I just wanted to hold onto that feeling a little longer." Anne’s hand grazed his cheek, her thumb resting just beneath his eye. He didn’t move, didn’t breathe for a moment. He just watched her, eyes burning with desire, voice dropping to a husky whisper. "Then let’s hold onto something even better." His lips met hers. The kiss was unhurried yet passionate. His fingers trailed her collarbone, the curve of her breast, the hollow of her waist. Anne arched into him, needing more. She unbuttoned his shirt with impatient hands, lips brushing his neck, his chest, tasting him. "Anne," he groaned. "You know how to drive me wild." He deepened the kiss. His hands settled at her waist, fingers flexing through the thin fabric of her blouse as she leaned in, pressing her body against his. He slid one hand up her back, slipping beneath her blouse, feeling warm skin and the faint tremble in her spine. When he tugged her blouse over her head, her hair spilled wild around her shoulders. He watched her, the way her mouth opened with a sigh, the way her breath trembled. That sight made his entire body tighten. "You are incredibly seductive," he said hoarsely. His hands traced the line of her throat, the slope of her breast, down the soft skin of her belly, pausing just at the edge of her waistband. Anne kissed his jaw, his throat, dragging her teeth gently across the pulse there. He let out a low groan, and she smiled against his skin. They undressed each other in fragments between kisses and gasps. Augustine’s fingers hooked under her panties, easing them down. He kissed her thighs, the inside of her knee, her hipbone, taking his time, watching the way her breath caught. Augustine slid over her, his body blanketing hers, his fingers moving down her sides. When his mouth found hers again, she gasped, hands clasping the bedspread, hips lifting. He didn’t stop until she was trembling, biting her lip to keep quiet. Her legs wrapped around him, pulling him closer. She felt the head of his reaction brush against her, slowly and teasingly, and her whole body tensed with anticipation. She reached up, cupped his face. "Let go." That was it. He drove into her one last time, deep and hard, and then everything in him broke. His hips stuttered against hers as he came. She felt every twitch, every spill of heat, and held him tight as he collapsed against her, chest heaving. He buried his face in her neck, breath ragged, arms wrapped around her.
