Carlos thought to himself, Looks like this northern hero has already hooked up with Kathy and the other two. But how did Kathy know? Carlos was still suspicious about this answer. "Mind if I ask who you are?" Kiri said proudly: "Student of Master Pergina, Kiri!" My earlier hunch was right. Pergina really was the northern hero’s mentor. Carlos thought of the Great Demon General’s sealed yellow key. Master Pergina had actually played dumb—she was way too good at hiding stuff. With the connection to the familiar Pergina, Carlos’s look softened big time. Sure enough, dropping the mentor’s name was absolutely the right move! Kiri totally caught the change in Carlos’s attitude. Then she pointed to Becky, who was making muffled sounds: "She’s a badass fortune teller, Becky." Right then, Becky’s pupils had gone back to normal, the brilliant starlight gone. She was looking around all confused, Having no clue what had just happened. Her body totally unable to move, gripped by serious fear, She looked pleadingly at her companion of less than a day! Kiri, save me! Fortune teller... The host of the Eyes of Calamity—Carlos was thinking, How did these two end up together? According to the records, the Eyes of Calamity was one of the targets the northern hero was supposed to take out. "What brings you here?" Those emerald pupils reflected the girl in front of him. Kiri wasn’t rattled at all—she’d prepped for this beforehand: "You’ll have to ask fortune teller Becky about that." She pointed to Becky, who was trapped by the Dark Purple Force Field. Carlos saw that the Eyes of Calamity had disappeared, so keeping her locked up didn’t make much sense anymore. "Let her go." "Roar!" The Dark Purple Force Field pulled back. She could move! Becky got her freedom back, gasping for air. She had never felt that free air was so amazing! "Becky." "Hmm?" Kiri winked at Becky: Like we agreed beforehand, start the show! "Got it!" Becky took a deep breath: "Hey there, Young Master Carlos, The intel about the Black Sinners that Kiri just mentioned Was what I got when doing a reading for my dear friend Diliya. She got grabbed by the Black Sinners to be used as a vessel for the False King sacrifice! Please save her!" As she talked, Tears started falling from Kiri’s eyes— She was really worried about her dear friend. "Diliya?" That name sounded kinda familiar? Carlos frowned a little. "Roar!" That woman with the gorgeous hands! Purple Vortex beside him, sensing its master’s confusion, quickly reminded him. Anomalous Soul! Carlos remembered now— The garrison investigator, Anomalous Soul, Diliya. Yeah, an Anomalous Soul would be perfect to serve as a False King’s vessel.
