Chapter 419 of "Pampered by My Secret Husband" kicks off with action-packed scenes: "HM?" William Guillen didn’t quite hear what she said, so he leaned down slightly, moving... Discover more!
"HM?" William Guillen didn’t quite hear what she said, so he leaned down slightly, moving closer to her. "What did you say?"Fluffy Zane shook her head gently, holding the cup. "It’s nothing."
Alexander Guillen held Mrs. Guillen’s arm. "Guillen Junior, my parents and I are sharing a car. Don’t forget to take Fluffy home later. She isn’t feeling well and will stay at our house for a few days. That way, my mother and I can also look after her more easily."
"Alexander Guillen, what did you just call me?"
In the now-empty banquet hall, William Guillen no longer felt the need to restrain himself and let out a low growl.
Alexander Guillen made a pinch-ear gesture. "Try yelling again?"
William Guillen felt an inexplicable twinge in his ear. He pursed the corners of his mouth and sneered.
He wouldn’t stoop to a woman’s level!
Alexander Guillen left first with Mr. and Mrs. Guillen.
William Guillen loosened his tie with one hand, undid two buttons on his shirt, then lowered his gaze and asked, "I’ll take you home later?" Follow current novels on novel·fiɾe·net
Fluffy Zane finished the remaining honey water before nodding.
"Let’s go."
William Guillen took the lead, walking out of the banquet hall.
Fluffy Zane put down the cup, slightly lifted the hem of her formal dress, and followed him at a slightly slower pace.
"Young Master Guillen..."
Just as they were stepping out of the banquet hall, a woman suddenly rushed from the side and expertly clung to William Guillen’s arm.
Fluffy Zane looked at her, recognizing her as Edward Benson’s female companion for the night.
Why is she still here? And why is she clinging to William Guillen’s arm?
Fluffy Zane pondered for a moment before scoffing inwardly. Was there even a need to wonder? This had to be some sort of illicit affair.
"Young Master Guillen, I’ve waited so long and anxiously for you..."
The woman clung to his arm, her body pressing weakly against him as if boneless. "You asked me to be Young Master Benson’s companion, and I did as you said. You promised to spend the night with me, and I’ve waited until now..."
William Guillen shot an awkward glance at Fluffy Zane, then frowned and hissed at the woman, "Shut up."
"Young Master Guillen..." The woman’s coquettish voice was thick with grievance.
It seemed she was resentful that he had made her wait so long.
A complicated look crossed Fluffy Zane’s face. Could it be... he actually had a companion for tonight? But for some unknown reason, he had this woman accompany Edward Benson instead, while promising to be with her later in the evening? No wonder... No wonder he said he’d take me home, not back to Coopers Manor. If he took me to Coopers Manor, how could he possibly slip away to be with another woman?
"HEH." She sneered, coldly observing William Guillen and the woman clinging to him, "You two take your time. I’ll be leaving first."
Bypassing them, she walked straight ahead without a sideways glance.
Behind her, Fluffy Zane couldn’t make out what the woman clinging to William Guillen was saying, but she faintly heard her aggrieved sobs.
Her heart felt as if it had been ripped open, dripping with fresh blood... Did it ache? Yes, it ached... But she had been heartbroken by him countless times already—not less than a thousand. She had gradually grown somewhat numb to this kind of pain. It was no longer like the first time, when the pain made it hard to breathe, almost suffocating her. She was a little better now than she had been back then. But only a little. And that wasn’t something to be proud of. Perhaps the day she no longer felt sorrowful or pained because of him—that would be her proudest moment.
William Guillen quickly dismissed his female companion and caught up to Fluffy Zane just as she was about to leave the hotel.
Her wrist was grabbed from behind. Without turning her head, Fluffy Zane said coldly, "Let go."
