"Clothes, shoes, and handbags, oh, and jewelry too."
Sophie Sullivan spoke nonchalantly, while the clerk next to her listened with alarm.
Given her extravagant way of spending, today’s bill will definitely exceed a hundred million! Just how wealthy would someone have to be to support such an exquisite beauty and allow her to spend so freely?
Thomas Shannon’s brow furrowed slightly, but soon smoothed again. "You bought yourself so much, what did you buy for me?"
Sophie Sullivan found it incredibly unbelievable.
Was Thomas Shannon possessed today?
"Thomas Shannon, you don’t lack anything, so I won’t buy anything for you."
"Maniac, you should learn to be grateful," Young Master Shannon reminded her in a low voice.
"Alright, alright, I got it."
Sophie Sullivan casually pointed to a men’s cufflink. "Give me a cufflink... No, not that one. Give me the cheapest one..."
Every word of that sentence, transmitted through radio waves, reached Young Master Shannon’s ears.
He took a deep breath, suppressing the anger in his heart, telling himself not to get angry. He shouldn’t argue with an ungrateful person.
Sophie Sullivan smiled, her voice as sweet as honey. "Thomas Shannon, I bought you a gift, are you happy now?"
Thomas Shannon: "..."
He thought, If she hadn’t said ’give me the cheapest one,’ I would be a little happier.
Putting on the newly purchased bracelet, Sophie Sullivan withdrew her gaze, satisfied. "Thomas Shannon, I’m going to have afternoon tea later, I don’t have time to chat with you, goodbye."
As soon as she finished speaking, Sophie Sullivan hung up the phone without waiting for Thomas Shannon’s reply.
Handing her mobile phone casually to the man in black, she turned and walked outside. "Next shop."
At 3 p.m., Sophie Sullivan went to a famous hotel restaurant in Imperial City for afternoon tea.
Sitting by the window, seeing the unbridled sunshine outside, she suddenly felt like swimming.
Fortunately, the hotel had a swimming pool.
She paid the bill and headed to the pool.
"Maniac, if you want to swim, why not go back to the manor? The swimming pool there is cleaned and disinfected every day; it’s much cleaner than public pools outside," suggested the man in black.
Sophie Sullivan didn’t accept his suggestion. It had taken her great effort to get out of the manor, and she did not want to return so soon.
She had to take full advantage of this rare freedom, have enough fun before going back to boast to Amelia Shaw, right?
Otherwise, it would always seem like Amelia Shaw was the future mistress, while she was merely a bed-warmer.
Now, it was time to dent Amelia Shaw’s superiority and arrogance.
At the pool, Sophie Sullivan realized that she had not brought her swimsuit.
She turned to the man in black. "Go buy me a swimsuit."
"Maniac, this..."
"What ’this’? Just go," Sophie Sullivan told him her size and urged him to go.
The man in black had to turn around and buy her a swimsuit.
PATTER. PATTER. PATTER...
A little boy in light blue swimming trunks came running over, wet and dripping, and accidentally bumped into her.
"Ouch!"
The little boy bounced off and fell to the ground, wailing.
Sophie Sullivan bent down and reached out to help him up. "Young friend, are you alright?"
The little boy smiled and shook his head. "I’m fine, Elder Sister."
"That’s good." Sophie Sullivan let him go and stood up.
The little boy, one hand clutching his backside, limped along. After a couple of steps, he was whimpering from the pain. He turned his head, looking pitifully at Sophie Sullivan. "Elder Sister, can you help me a little? I want to find my father."
Thinking that the little boy had fallen because he bumped into her, Sophie Sullivan’s heart softened.
