"Yes!"
Charlie River grabbed the crying little boy from the crowd and threw him on the ground.
The boy’s mother ran out anxiously. "What do you want to do to my son?"
Charlie River grabbed the mother’s collar with one hand, lifting her up. "Shut up if you don’t want to die!"
The woman’s face gradually turned purple, her eyes wide open in terror. She stared at Charlie River, deep fear in her eyes.
The little boy was scared and wet himself, wailing loudly, "Don’t hit my mother... bad person, I’ll kill you!"
Charlie River kicked the boy away. The boy fell to the ground and struggled to get up for a while.
"Speak! Where did all that money come from?"
"I won’t tell you, bad person!" The little boy spat defiantly.
The spit landed on Charlie River’s trousers. He sneered and threw the woman to the ground.
BANG!
The woman wailed in pain. Charlie River stepped on her chest, his gaze fixed on the little boy. "If you don’t speak, your mother will die."
"Bad person, let go of my mother..."
Charlie River kicked her again. The woman vomited blood, her eyes rolling back. "Speak or not?"
The little boy trembled in fear, tears streaming down his face. "I’ll tell... an Uncle gave it to me."
"Which one?"
"I don’t know..."
Thomas Shannon approached. He squatted down and grabbed the boy’s neck with one hand, his cold eyes staring at him. "What did that man give you the money to do?"
"He... he wanted me to bump into an Elder Sister, and then... then trick her into going with me to find my father." The little boy was already sobbing. Thomas Shannon’s grip on his neck tightened.
Tricking the maniac into finding her father?
Thomas Shannon’s voice suddenly grew lower. "And then?"
"And then... then Elder Sister was pushed into the water and never came back up again..."
Everyone gasped in shock upon hearing the boy’s words. Such a young child, and yet he was an accomplice! How despicable!
The man in black responsible for protecting Sophie Sullivan stepped forward promptly. "Young Master, I searched in the water. The maniac was not in the swimming pool."
If she wasn’t there, then she must have been moved.
A bloodthirsty smile curled Thomas Shannon’s lips. He grabbed the little boy’s neck. "At such a young age, you’ve learned to kill. I’ll let you taste what suffocation feels like."
With that, the little boy’s body was thrown into the water.
Each time he tried to resurface, a man in black pushed him back under.
Thomas Shannon dusted his hands off as if he had touched something disgusting, his cold eyes harboring murderous intent. "The maniac must still be in the hotel. Find her!"
All the men in black mobilized, beginning a methodical, inch-by-inch search of the hotel.
「10 minutes later.」
Good news came through Charlie River’s wireless earpiece from one of the men in black: "The maniac has been found. She was hidden under the bed in a room."
Charlie River immediately reported the news to Thomas Shannon. The man’s cold eyes narrowed, and he swiftly turned and left.
「On the 27th floor, inside an ordinary guest room.」
The maniac, found by the men in black under a bed, was soaking wet. Her mask had long since fallen off and was nowhere to be found.
Two deep red marks were strikingly obvious on her fair, slender ankle.
When Thomas Shannon arrived, the men in black automatically cleared a path for him.
The maniac, laid on the sofa, was pale-faced.
Thomas Shannon went to her side, leaned down, and placed his hand before her nose to check her breathing.
Her breathing was very weak.
Without any hesitation, Thomas Shannon lifted her horizontally in his arms and quickly left.
The large group of people hurried to the hotel’s top floor.
