With her feet cuffed, she couldn’t run away.Charlie River stood up. Expressionless, he looked at her. "Maniac, you had better reflect on your actions here."
When he finished speaking, Charlie River looked at the two men in black. "Let’s go." Follow current novᴇls on ????????????????????⚑????????????????⚑????????????
"Yes."
Sophie raised her head. Looking at the forest, where dense leaves cast only speckled light, she called out to Charlie River, "Charlie, what if it rains?"
Her face can’t touch water!
Hearing her words, Charlie River stopped. He turned around and looked at Sophie. "You figure it out yourself."
"What do you mean, figure it out myself? I want to see Thomas Shannon!"
Charlie River seemed to smile. "The Young Master is not someone you can see just because you want to. So, cherish any opportunity you get to see him, and don’t disobey him."
His Young Master had finally regained his former glory. He was no longer a man brought low by a woman. Charlie River felt as if the ruthless Young Master of old had returned.
He turned around and left the forest with the men in black.
The iron chain was of limited length. One end was locked to a tree trunk, while the two ankle shackles on the other end were fastened to her ankles.
She was imprisoned here. When she tried to walk a few steps, the ankle shackles rubbed her skin raw.
She gasped, pain shooting through her, and squatted down to carefully examine her ankles.
After just those few steps, her ankles were already rubbed red and looked like the skin was about to break.
Sophie cursed angrily, "Damn Thomas Shannon!"
Charlie River went to the equestrian center to report. Inside, Thomas Shannon was riding the all-white Gabriel, galloping around the center, Gabriel’s soft mane drifting in the air.
Even its tail swished in a beautiful arc.
Seeing Charlie River, Thomas Shannon tightened the reins and rode Gabriel over to the fence. "Is it done?"
Seated high on his horse, Thomas Shannon looked down at Charlie River, his eyes cold and devoid of warmth.
Charlie River respectfully replied, "Yes, Young Master. It’s done. The maniac is locked up in the forest."
With a slight nod, Thomas Shannon galloped off on Gabriel.
The rhythmic clatter of hooves accompanied the spirited rider, and the all-white Gabriel looked even more majestic.
The pair, man and horse, became the most captivating sight in the equestrian center.
After a few laps, Thomas Shannon dismounted, led Gabriel back to the horse stable, and personally fed it fodder.
Charlie River followed behind him. He didn’t speak; indeed, he didn’t dare to.
He found himself somewhat unable to guess what his Young Master was thinking.
The maniac is locked in the forest. Isn’t he pleased about that?
After feeding Gabriel, Thomas Shannon turned and left the equestrian center.
His exceptionally handsome face was devoid of any superfluous expression, and he exuded a chilling aura that warned others to keep their distance.
He took out his mobile phone and called Edward Benson. "Bay King, come out for a drink."
Edward Benson’s voice sounded tired. "Thomas, I’m not in the country."
"Where are you?"
"I’m in the Netherlands..."
"Why on earth did you suddenly go to the Netherlands?"
Edward Benson chuckled softly. "I received word that someone saw her in the Netherlands... so I came to try my luck."
Thomas Shannon was suddenly at a loss for words. Someone who disappeared for so many years... if she truly wanted to appear, she would have done so long ago. She wouldn’t have let him search so arduously for her in the vast sea of people for so long. She was already gone. If she were still alive in this world, she would most likely have adopted a new identity and started over. She had always remained hidden, never showing herself. Perhaps she simply wanted to begin a new life, undisturbed by the people or events of her past.
