She quickly averted her gaze, seemingly scared.
CLANG!
Sophie Sullivan threw the fork in front of her onto the plate, making a crisp sound. Her perfect, petal-like red lips curled into a sarcastic arc. "I’ve seen plenty of scheming women. Is this the type all you men like?"
This remark even mocked William Guillen.
William Guillen’s brow furrowed, and Charlotte immediately snuggled into his arms, seeking protection. Her timid appearance was like that of a naive girl.
"Maniac, who are you talking about?" William Guillen still maintained a humble and gentle smile.
"I’m talking about your woman."
Sophie Sullivan crossed her arms, her hazy eyes revealing a deep arrogance. "I’m in no mood to deal with any woman, so don’t bother trying to test me. When the time comes, don’t play the victim. People who don’t know any better might think I actually did something to you. We don’t know each other, and I can’t bear you calling me ’Elder Sister’."
Thomas Shannon remained silent, holding his wine glass and sipping slowly. His handsome face was indifferent, cold, and stern.
William Guillen turned his head to Charlotte and said seriously, "Charlotte, apologize."
"Young Master Guillen..." Charlotte called out softly.
"Don’t make me say it a second time."
William Guillen had his own standards; a woman for casual flings was clearly different from one Thomas Shannon intended to be serious about. His own women were like clothes, changed daily. But Thomas Shannon’s women... they were different.
Tears welled in Charlotte’s eyes as she looked at Sophie Sullivan. "I’m sorry, it’s my fault. Please forgive me."
"I won’t forgive you."
Sophie Sullivan arrogantly turned her head away, resolute and decisive. Charlotte was taken aback; she sobbed quietly, choking back her tears.
"Crying over a meal? What are you crying for?" William Guillen’s face darkened. "Get out."
"Young Master Guillen, I..."
"Get out!"
Charlotte got up and stumbled out of the room, crying.
Sophie Sullivan didn’t understand how William Guillen would rather give up on an excellent woman like Fluffy Zane, who loved him, to choose these scheming girls. However, other people’s relationships were none of her business. As long as William Guillen’s women didn’t annoy her, she would turn a blind eye. Otherwise...
The waiter brought Sophie Sullivan’s dishes to the table one by one. "Please enjoy your meal."
After a bow, the waiter took two steps back and left the private room.
Sophie Sullivan’s chin was suddenly grabbed, and her head was forcibly turned to one side. She glared at Thomas Shannon. "What are you doing?"
"Still upset?"
All her anger had already been vented on others; was she still unhappy?
"If you let me bite you, I might feel a little better."
Thomas Shannon’s deep eyes sparkled. "Really?" His voice was very soft, carrying a touch of playfulness.
Sophie Sullivan snorted. In the next second, the man’s handsome hand reached out to her.
Sophie Sullivan was puzzled. Thomas Shannon, propping his head with one hand, said leisurely, "Didn’t you say biting me would make you feel better? Go ahead."
Sophie Sullivan was now certain that Thomas Shannon must have taken the wrong medicine today! Otherwise, why would he be so... nice to her! It was unbelievable that the arrogant Young Master Shannon would actually be willing to let her bite his precious hand! It was simply incredible!
Sophie Sullivan, with a worried look, raised her hand and felt his forehead. "Thomas Shannon, are you sick?"
"Why, do you care?"
Sophie Sullivan: "..."
I’m worried you didn’t take your medicine and came out to cause trouble!
