Thomas Shannon’s face was ashen, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles cracked.
He strode quickly into the bedroom, kicking open the half-ajar door.
BANG!
The loud noise interrupted the two who were clinging together.
Sophie Sullivan’s pliant body was practically draped over the bodyguard. The bodyguard’s face flushed red. He quickly pulled his hands back, avoiding her as if she were a venomous viper.
Let alone touch her or take advantage of her.
The Young Master’s woman—death to anyone who would touch her!
"Young Master, you’re finally back!" The bodyguard breathed a sigh of relief.
Thomas Shannon looked at Sophie Sullivan. Her face was flushed scarlet, her eyes alluringly hazy. Fury welled up inside him, even though he knew she had been drugged. Seeing her clinging to another man like that, he couldn’t suppress the urge to thrash her!
He yanked Sophie Sullivan off the bodyguard with one hand and pulled her into his own embrace. Thomas Shannon’s eyes were dark and ominous. "Get out!"
"Yes, Young Master!" The bodyguard’s voice held a hint of joy; he was finally free.
Sophie Sullivan’s porcelain-white skin, like the purest snow on the Alps, was tinged with a crimson flush that spread across her cheeks. This only added a captivating, silently seductive charm to her.
「Late at night.」
He got out of bed, opened the wardrobe, and slipped on a sleep gown.
Thomas Shannon left the bedroom and went downstairs.
Downstairs, the servants, maids, and doctor—all of them were waiting in the main hall. Not a single person dared to leave on their own or go rest.
When Minimus Hart saw Thomas Shannon coming downstairs, he hurried over. "Young Master."
Thomas Shannon sat on the sofa and lit a cigarette. His narrow eyes squinted slightly as he took a deep drag.
"There’s coffee in my bedroom. Who brought it up?"
Ever since that little maniac arrived, I haven’t seen her drink coffee. Clearly, she doesn’t like it. Besides, it’s already late. She doesn’t have to work, so there’s no reason she’d need coffee to stay awake. That half-empty cup of coffee on the tea table is highly suspicious.
"Coffee?" Minimus Hart turned his head to address the servants and maids. "Who brought coffee upstairs today?"
The maidservants and maids all shook their heads.
One of the maidservants stepped forward. Looking at Thomas Shannon’s gloomy expression, she said timidly, "Young Master, Miss Shaw was in the kitchen earlier tonight. She brewed coffee and took a cup upstairs. Could it have been her?"
Amelia Shaw?
The image of Sophie Sullivan clinging to the bodyguard flashed through Thomas Shannon’s mind, and rage instantly flared within him. "Charlie River, bring Amelia Shaw down to me!"
"Yes, Young Master!" Charlie River immediately responded.
