To his astonishment, the hybrid began to move, stepping away from White as he started approaching Dave with Chris still held with a sword to his neck. White’s eyes widened in disbelief as he saw this. "I didn’t order you to move, it is those two! Wait, Is this remote really broken." he muttered under his breath, irritation lacing his words as he couldn’t figure out what was happening. The hybrid made his way behind Dave, its movements deliberate, and gently, it removed the sword from Chris’s neck, aligning itself by Dave’s side. Dave’s calm demeanor contrasted sharply with White’s escalating agitation. "What?! What the heck is happening??!!" Sensing his confusion and flaring anger, Dave had decided to address White, his tone steady as a visible smile appeared on the corner of his lips. "Apologies, doctor, but these hybrids no longer answer to you." "What?!" White’s face flushed with anger. "What the heck did you do to them?" he retorted, his voice rising. Without sparing White a glance or giving him an answer, Dave issued a command to the hybrid at his side. "Escort Chris to the others and wait till I return." The hybrid nodded, its expression unreadable. "Yes, master," it intoned, guiding Chris toward the exit. White couldn’t understand what was going on, and his widely open mouth seems to confirm the surprise on his face. Before leaving, Chris had glanced at Dave, concern furrowing his brow. It was evident that he was also surprised by everything that was happening. But now is not the time to ask questions neither did he think Dave would give him an answer now. "And don’t worry, I’ll make sure your father’s death is avenged." Chris nodded, gratitude and determination flickering in his eyes, before following the hybrid out of the lab. Left alone, White’s mind raced, struggling to comprehend the turn of events. "What sort of... how is this possible?! How are you able to control my hybrids?!" he exclaimed, his voice tinged with disbelief. Dave turned his attention fully to White, his expression unwavering. "Honestly, doctor, is that your primary concern? Perhaps you should start focusing on preserving your own life. Or I might just kill you right here and then." "But before then, you have a single task to do for me, you’re going to have to call Tasha." Dave said, a smirk appearing on the corner of his lips.
