"Good evening, everyone," the man’s voice boomed, echoing through the air like a gentle thunderclap. The words were innocuous enough, but the tone was laced with an air of superiority, as if the speaker was accustomed to being obeyed without question. The crowd’s eyes remained fixed on the screen, their faces a mixture of fascination and trepidation.
