Chapter 47 - I have a secret and it's that I love you Sweetheart "I want to drink," Camilla, with her divinely beautiful face wearing a gentle smile, sat across from Sinclair. "Will you accompany me?" Sinclair squinted slightly, wearing a cryptic smile as he watched Camilla. "Can you drink during your period?" "Yes, yes, I can," Worried that Sinclair might refuse, Camilla nodded repeatedly. "I'm a doctor, you can trust me." Sinclair quirked his lips, not saying anything. The servant quickly brought two bottles of red wine, opened them and placed them in front of the two, then retreated. Camilla poured wine for Sinclair and then for herself. "Sweetheart" She raised her glass, speaking softly with a smile. "To celebrate me by your side." Sinclair's narrow, dark eyes squinted slightly, his gaze earnestly fixed on the blooming smile before him, his voice deep and hoarse. "To be by my side, is it something worth celebrating?" Could she really think that way? "Of course," Thinking of the scene where her soul was devoured by fire, Camilla's eyes involuntarily began to glisten. "You don't know, how grateful I am." "Sweetheart, we will always be together, right?" Her laughing, sparkling eyes remained fixed upon Sinclair. "Is that so?" Forever together? Sinclair rubbed the wine glass softly as he responded in a low voice. "Mhm." With the second glass of wine finished, Camilla filled up a third. Just as she was about to lift it, Sinclair's slender, fair hand pressed it down. " Eat something first." "It's alright." A blush had already crept onto Camilla's fair cheeks, yet she hadn't noticed. "This wine is sweet. It doesn't make one drunk at all." Sinclair pursed his lips, a hint of helplessness flashing in his eyes. This wine is 40 years old; its aftereffects are strong. "This will be your last glass." "Alright then," With a wine glass in hand, Camilla's face, flushed with intoxication, was filled with perplexity. "Since it's the last glass, I'll make a wish," Moments later, her deep red lips curved, casting a pear vortex of smile as she clinked her glass with Sinclair "Drink up." Making a wish with wine? Sinclair leaned back in his chair, a thin layer of amusement glinting in his eyes. "What's your wish?" At this moment, he had already made up his mind. No matter what she said or desired, he would do his utmost to fulfill it for her. "If I voiced my wish, it won't come true." Camilla chuckled, then drained her glass. Sinclair's gaze intensified, following suit by finishing the wine in his glass. Camilla shook her head, her face now gleaming a crimson red. Yet, those lustrous beautiful eyes seemed to be filled with starlight. "Sweetheart, try the dish I made for you. I know you didn't have dinner, I made it especially for you." The slightly drunk Camilla, had already forgotten her previous excuses. So it was all for him. There was a subtle stir in Sinclair's heart. "Okay." Picking up the Spoon, he quietly tasted the dish in front of him. The taste was good, better than most of the food he had ever eaten. Just as Sinclair was about to speak after laying his eyes, he saw the woman in front of him, looking at him with teary eyes. A frown creased Sinclair's forehead. "What's wrong?" Camilla didn't reply, but stood up from her seat and unsteadily walked over to Sinclair. Letting go of his hand, she sat on his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck. Sinclair cooperated throughout. "Sinclair, actually I have a secret to tell you." Camilla never imagined that she would become the one to spill the truth after drinking. -- Suburban Villa. "Madam," The man said quietly. "How do we deal with those people now that we are successful?" "Kill him." Margaret's movement of cutting fruit didn't stop, and her voice was as gentle as usual. "We absolutely can't let the Porter family catch any flaws." As she spoke, she delicately arranged the fruit on the plate, her profile looking exceptionally gentle. "Yes!" The man nodded. "Do we need to send out hints to the Porter family from Tyler?" "No need," Margaret shook her head, her eyes squinted. "It's not the right time yet." Sandra is not a fool, neither is the Porter family. The matter of taking down Sandra has just started. The man nodded and was about to retreat. The sound of a car engine came from outside. "This matter," Margaret raised her head to look at the man, her soft voice was full of icy undertones. "Do not let Mr. Jonathan knows." Jonathan was a naturally cautious man, he would not approve of this risky action. But for the sake of her son's future, she had no choice but to disregard that. "Yes!" The man turned and walked away. Margaret, then stood and walked to the door to greet Jonathan, her face and eyes filled with a gentle smile. Seeing his wife standing at the door, a warmth spread through Jonathan's heart. "Weren't you advised to not wait up for me, to rest early?" He has never regretted marrying Margaret in all these years. Margaret smiled, taking the coat from Jonathan's hand, and delicately chuckled, "All these years, I've grown accustomed to it." Jonathan wrapped his arms around Margaret's waist, his face beaming with enjoyment, evidently cherishing this tender moment. "By the way, where's Tyler" The smile on Margaret's face paused for a moment, but quickly returned to normal. "Out with friends for a drink." Jonathan seemed surprised. "He's only been back for a few days, and he's already made friends?" "He's old enough now, no need to worry about him," Margaret chuckled, and carried some fruit to the table. "I've cut up some fruit for you, have some and take a break." Just like that, the topic of Tyler was gently brushed aside. The Luther Mansion. Camilla nestled in the arms of Sinclair, her arms wrapped around his neck. "Sweetheart" With slightly glassy eyes from the wine, she stared deeply into the man's eyes. Sinclair held Camilla's waist with one hand, and with the other, he brushed her hair back from her cheeks to behind her ears. The corner of his mouth twitched slightly, a few unexplainable shades of indulgence on his handsome face. "Sure." The drunken her seemed more intriguing than usual. She was quite delighted by Sinclair's compliance. Her eyes narrowed, reminding him of a little fox. "If you beg me, I assure you, I'll tell you." The scent of the red wine permeated between their lips, crafting a romantic atmosphere. "Be good," Sinclair's eyes narrowed as he caressed Camilla's face, a glimpse of danger flashed in his eyes. "This doesn't work, make another request." The word 'beg', he had never used it, and wouldn't use it on anyone. "A man can't say no," Camilla's eyes curved, a trace of playful banter on her lovely face. Sinclair smirked, his tone deep. "In a few days, you will know if I can or can't." "Fine, I'll tell you," A seemingly unaware Camilla, dizzy in her mind, seemed to disregard the slowly rising danger. "The secret is," She brought her red lips close to Sinclair's ear, enunciating each word. "I've fallen in love with you, or rather, I fell in love with you a long time ago." Her sweet, gentle voice carried an unprecedented seriousness. At this moment, Camilla seemed to view the Sinclair in front of her as the man from her past life. Loving him? A long, long time ago? Noticing that Camilla seemed to be looking through him at someone else, the look in Sinclair's eyes instantly turned somber. "Camilla, who am I?" Lifting her chin with his hand, his expression was deep and serious. "Who are you in love with?" Looking into Camilla's misty and beautiful eyes, Sinclair dreaded hearing the name of another man from her mouth. He hoped she wasn't using him as a stand-in for another man. Otherwise, Sinclair's eyes were deep and mysterious, his hand slowly moved from Camilla's chin to her neck, tenderly stroking it. "Don't you recognize yourself?" She questioned. Camilla didn't mind the hand on her chin, she reached out to caress Sinclair's cheek, giggling softly. "You are Sinclair, my Sweetheart" She said. Sinclair's eyes flickered. He had to admit, the 'love' in Camilla's voice moved him. Before he could move, Camilla was the first to draw closer. Sinclair was passive for only a moment before he turned the tables. The temperature in the room rapidly rose. Camilla, taking advantage of her drunken state, became more unrestrained. After an unknown period of time, Sinclair gently bit Camilla's lips and warned in a low, husky voice. "Continue to act recklessly, and bear the consequences yourself."
