At the sound of the voice, Tiffany’s mind went blank, but her body moved on instinct, burying her face under the covers. The next second, she regretted it. The luxurious down comforter did little to block the light flooding the room, leaving nothing to the imagination. The realization struck her like a bolt of lightning. Panicked, she clutched the blanket and scrambled back out. "I didn’t see anything," Tiffany blurted out, her beautiful eyes wide with panic as she met the man’s enigmatic, smiling gaze. "Really." His voice was low and husky, tender and indulgent. Tiffany’s beautiful eyes fluttered slightly, nearly losing herself in the man’s seemingly affectionate gaze. "President Calvin?" Gino’s concerned voice rang out again. "President Calvin, are you alright?" If there was no response soon, he would have to "defy all consequences" and barge in. Calvin: "..." The people around him were truly getting worse by the day. "I’m fine," he replied in a deep voice. "Leave." Under normal circumstances, Gino wouldn’t dare disobey Calvin’s orders. But now, with the old lady’s decree hanging over his head, he couldn’t report back until President Calvin’s injuries were properly treated. Gritting his teeth, he forced himself to speak again. "The doctor is waiting downstairs. Your injuries have gone untreated all night. If we delay any longer—" Calvin’s eyes darkened dangerously. "Get out. Now." His icy voice carried a barely restrained fury. Gino flinched at the suppressed rage in his boss’s tone, shrinking back and immediately falling silent. Injuries. Left untreated for an entire night. Tiffany latched onto the key details from the conversation outside, her guilt deepening. Worry and tension painted her delicate features. "You’re hurt? Where?" "Just a scratch." Calvin smirked, feigning nonchalance. "It’s nothing." But judging by the concern in that man’s voice, it was far from "nothing." Tiffany’s brows knitted together as she sat up, her gaze fixed on Calvin. "Let me see." Calvin didn’t respond, his dark eyes flickering with intensity as they landed on the alluring sight before Tiffany. Tiffany, who had been watching him closely, immediately noticed where his gaze had settled. With a soft gasp, she instinctively raised her hands to cover herself. When she had been half-conscious, it hadn’t mattered as much—but now, fully awake, she couldn’t bear the way Calvin’s scorching gaze seemed to sear right through her. Yet her hands were too small, or perhaps the temptation too great. Instead of hiding anything, the gesture only added a different kind of allure. She used to resist, but now she understood— Once you’ve tasted the sweetness, you crave it. Calvin’s throat moved as he swallowed hard, his eyes darkening further. But he knew—Tiffany didn’t feel that way about him. At least, not yet. What happened last night had been nothing more than an accident. So he wouldn’t—couldn’t—do anything. "I—" Tiffany bit her lip. "I’ll go get dressed first." She grabbed the bedsheet, attempting to cover herself. In her flustered haste, she accidentally exposed the man’s body beneath the blanket. "Sorry, sorry—" She immediately pulled the sheet back over him, opting instead to clutch a pillow against herself as she slipped out of bed. Scooping up the clothes scattered on the carpet, she hurried into the bathroom. Leaning against the headboard, Calvin watched with a lazy, amused smirk on his strikingly handsome face. Adorable, wasn’t she? Calvin picked up his phone and dialed a number.
