Chapter 39 - Call me Mrs. Camilla Luther "Sandra, my dear daughter, don't be a stranger," grandpa Luther, looked at Sandra with a gentle expression and chuckled. "I am quite clear about what kind of child Sandra is. Young people are often prone to minor mishaps when fooling around." Was Grandpa Luther not blaming her? Even her own grandfather said this, Sandra knew there was no turning back. She bit her lip, her face full of grievance. Meanwhile, in the hallway, "Sinclair," Camilla, with arms around Sinclair's neck, looked at him with wet eyes. "Will this incident of falling into the water cause any troubles for the Luther Family?" Sinclair lowered his head, his thin lips slightly curled. In his narrow, inky eyes was a depth of meaning Camilla couldn't comprehend. "Isn't it a bit too late to ask that now?" Could it be that Sinclair has realized? The cold voice of the man gave Camilla a jolt. If that was really the case, would he think she's overly scheming? Camilla pursed her lips, trying to discern the real emotions in the man's eyes. But Sinclair has already averted his gaze. "Don't worry, the Luther Family has never been afraid of trouble." The Luna Family villa. Roman was lying on the bed with a swollen face, fast asleep, with his eyes tightly shut. All over his body, he was wrapped in bandages. He looked exactly like an actor from the Mummy Hollywood movie. "The mummies," Just awakened from unconsciousness, Mrs. Luna looked at her son, her eyes red and her body uncontrollably trembling. "The doctor just said that Roman suffered damage... he might never be able to have children in the future?" Roman pressed his lips together, keeping silent. "Our Roman is only in his twenties and not yet married with children," Mrs. Luna, her face wreathed in tears, made her usually well-maintained face contort in agony. "This Sinclair has overstepped the mark! My husband, we cannot honestly let this slide!" "And what if we didn't?" Roman's face distorts as the gravity of their situation hits him. "Can we just go and grab Sinclair and beat him up?" Seeing his disfigured son, his eyes tightly knitted, he felt stifling anger that couldn't rise or descend. Such a perfect man was right in front of her, yet all she wanted was to escape. Her past self must have been blind. Noticing Camilla's gaze, Sinclair lifted his eyes to look at her. The first thing he saw was her slender, fair legs that disappeared under a short white skirt. Seeing those compelling eyes staring at her as if she were prey, Camilla couldn't help but feel somewhat anxious. "Sinclair, grandpa and the others are waiting in the living room. We should go down." Noticing her form of address, an inexplicable smile curled up on Sinclair's lips. "Let's go." "Grandpa," On hearing the voice, several people looked up. The man was slim and upright. The woman was slender and graceful. Added to their equally good looks and similarly coloured clothes, From any angle, they looked exceptionally matched. Sandra looked at the two people standing together, her face becoming increasingly sullen. She felt as if her heart was being gripped tightly by an unseen hand, even breathing seemed incredibly difficult. Camilla observed Sandra's gaze, her expression unchanging. She calmly extended her hand, taking Sinclair's hand. Evidently, it was to proclaim her sovereignty. The soft and seemingly boneless hand in his palm made Sinclair pause, causing him to raise an eyebrow. Worried that Sinclair wouldn't cooperate, Camilla tightened her grip, leading him further downstairs. To others, they presented an image sweet with intimacy. Damn it!! Sandra clenched her teeth, unable to hide the jealousy and unwillingness in her eyes. "Camilla," Grandpa Luther looked at Camilla, his face filled with genuine worry. "Are you okay? Does anything else feel off?" "I'm okay, Grandpa," Camilla said, smiling and shaking her head. Her beautiful and delicate face was filled with sweetness. "I'm a doctor myself; don't worry." "As long as you're okay, that's good," Grandpa Luther nodded, gesturing to Grandpa Porter "This is an old friend of mine. You can just call him Grandpa Porter." "Hello, Grandpa Porter" Camilla called out in a gentle and refined manner, and smiled politely at Grandpa Porter. "I behaved rather inappropriately by the lake just now, I hope Grandfather Porter won't mind." With just one sentence, she skillfully steered the conversation back to the incident by the lake. Grandpa Luther took a sip of his tea and a faint sense of reassurance flickered in his eyes. The matriarch of his Luther Family shouldn't be a pushover after all. Sinclair's handsome face remained serene, revealing no emotions, but his hand was gently stroking the soft and delicate fingers of the woman. "Hahaha, of course, not," Grandpa Porter replied amiably as he smiled at Camilla, then he shifted his gaze to Sandra. "Sandra, hurry up and apologize to Miss Rodriguez. If you're this careless again, not even I will cover for you." Careless? Camilla kept smiling, but the flicker of coldness in the depth of her eyes didn't go unnoticed. Under the warning glare from her grandfather and Grandpa Luther among others, Sandra had no choice but to turn and face Camilla. "Miss Rodriguez... I'm sorry." Her voice was low, almost too quiet to catch. "Are you afraid of us hearing your apology, Miss Porter?" Sinclair did not look at Sandra, but his low voice carried a trace of mockery. The air in the living room seemed to freeze for a moment. Sandra looked at Sinclair with tear-filled eyes, her distressed expression was simply indescribable. Tsk. Camilla's lips curled into a barely noticeable smirk. What a pity, the man beside her was not one to pity and cherish women, not even bothering to raise his head. "Sandra--" grandpa Porter could not help but frown, his eyes filled with a sharp intensity as he looked at Sandra. Sandra's heart shrank, and even though she was very reluctant, she spoke again. "I apologize, Ms. Rodriguez. I didn't mean to act rudely earlier, I sincerely apologize for my behaviour." Every word seemed to be squeezed out from between her gritted teeth. "It's okay, I also believe Ms. Porter did not do it on purpose. Just be more careful next time," Camilla looked at Sandra's embarrassed face, her eyebrows curved and her demeanor sweet and gentle. "However, keep in mind that I am now married to Sinclair Luther, so you should address me as Mrs. Luther."
