She took out a small Vermillion Pen from her backpack, approached the bedside, and quickly drew a Soul Summoning Talisman on Delilah Woods’s forehead with the Vermillion Pen. The next second, Scarlett Jennings placed the small paper lantern in her hand, chanting, “The Heavenly Dao is clear, the Earthly Dao is peaceful, the Human Dao is serene, Three Souls Gathering, I obey the Imperial Decree, the soul returns.” As her last two words were spoken, the initial Yellow Talisman floating above quickly enveloped the paper lantern. Delilah’s mother saw a spot of light inside the lantern slowly moving along the red line toward Delilah’s forehead. Realizing that this spot of light was her daughter’s lost soul, Delilah’s mother’s breath stilled, fearing that even her breath might scare away her daughter’s soul.... She watched as the light approached the center of the forehead. Just as it was about to merge, Suddenly, she heard a sharp cry similar to that of an infant in her ear, causing her ear to ache. The next second, she saw the light, which was almost merging with her daughter’s forehead, being violently pulled back into the paper lantern wrapped in yellow paper!
