At most, the fox could only stare at her. Just as she was comforting herself with this thought, the fox suddenly pressed a paw lightly against the cabinet glass. With a soft click, the glass door opened. Grandma Jennings’ heart skipped a beat. Before she could cry out, the fox wasted no time diving forward. It opened its jaws wide. Chomp. It snatched Grandma Jennings’ doll in its mouth and bolted away.
