Leaving 2003 behind, Scarlett Jennings showed little emotion as she entered the elevator but couldn’t help asking Nathan White, “Senior, are you sure this is a mission for an Initial Rank?” Nathan White heard her and immediately glanced at her nervously. And it’s clear the new ghost had no intention of killing them. “Are you suspecting that a vengeful spirit disguised as a new ghost is messing with people on purpose?” Nathan White asked in a low voice. Before Scarlett Jennings could answer, Ashton Todd couldn’t help but click his tongue, “Which vengeful spirit has that much free time?” Scarlett Jennings shook her head, “What was clinging to those two families was definitely the Shadow Energy of a new ghost.” She was purely curious about where the new ghost got its abilities from. Unless the entity was born extraordinarily gifted. Or, like them—Masters—sometimes their soul power after death surpassed that of ordinary spirits. It was unclear which category this ghost fell into. ... It didn’t take much effort for them to drag the ghost out. Ghosts like this typically stay in the place where they died. As 1803 has remained unrented since the death occurred, they entered easily. Scarlett Jennings activated a Talisman, and Ashton Todd set up the array. As the Talisman Array formed, Ezra Wright’s spirit was forced out from the corner and trapped within it.
