With her stature in the fashion world, getting such high-end pieces would be just a matter of a word.” Isolde Garrison listened, her jealousy boiling over as she couldn’t help but edge closer, pretending to be somewhat worried as she whispered, “Could it be fake?” As soon as she spoke, the women who had been talking suddenly fell silent and turned their heads sharply, looking at her as if she were an odd specimen. After a while, someone snickered, full of derision, and without another word, they all moved to the other side, as if trying to distance themselves from a fool. Isolde Garrison was so angry that her face almost twisted. Instinctively, she wanted to seek comfort from Lydia Patterson, but when she turned, she saw that Lydia was also staring dumbly in Scarlett Garrison’s direction, clearly entranced. Isolde Garrison gritted her teeth, her hands gripping her clutch tighter and tighter. Just then, Scarlett Garrison’s keen gaze fell in their direction. We’ve thought of you constantly since you left.” Stopping amidst the bewildered looks from the crowd, he playfully smacked his head, offering Old Sir Jiang a somewhat apologetic smile, “Oh, look at me, habits die hard. I should correct myself; not mom, but rather foster mother is right.”
