Just as Scarlett thought it was about to climb higher on its own, the little paperman suddenly slapped onto the front limb of the Benedict Stone Statue, turning into an ordinary paper cutout as if it had lost its soul. Scarlett’s eyes flickered, thinking that Samuel Chalmers’s Golden Light had failed, so she quickly stepped forward and took the little paperman off the stone body. However, she discovered that the little paperman in her hand still emitted a faint Golden Light, though slightly dimmer than before. After resting for a night, she dressed in the modified Taoist Robe issued by the academy the next day, and put aside affairs of the Jennings Family and the production crew, immersing herself into the cultivation studies at the academy.
