Chase shot him a peculiar look. “Why are you acting so subservient to her? She’s not standing right next to us now.” Adam gave Chase a side-eye glance. While Scarlett wasn’t physically next to them, did he really believe the distance was enough for her not to overhear? A real man keeps silent when ordered to. Chase couldn’t bear staring at Adam’s obstinate demeanor and decided not to continue complaining. He began walking toward his car instead. However, just as he reached his vehicle, out of nowhere, a man and a woman rushed directly toward him, catching Chase off guard. Fortunately, the Jennings Family’s security personnel were highly alert. They immediately leaped in front of Chase to intercept the strangers, shouting sternly, “Step back!” The couple, startled by the command, retreated a step but continued to gaze pleadingly at Chase. “Young Master Chase!
