"Why so late opening the gate?" Kyouko kept her voice light, her tone casual. "Hmm? I was in the backyard exercising. Didn’t even notice you two until you honked. You know how far the backyard is from the front gate." Satoshi scratched his head. "Ah... yeah. Forgot. Sorry." Satomi stretched with a yawn. "You’re looking really fit lately, Mom. That tight outfit’s working pretty well." "You two are early today. It’s rare to see you this early." Kyouko turned and walked them toward the door. "We were both tired, so we decided to head home early," Satomi said, waving off the thought. "Don’t worry about food—besides, it’s still early." Kyouko gave a small nod, her smile serene. "Oh well... if you both say that, I’ll go shower first. Then I’ll cook something, okay?" "Sure. Thanks, Kyouko." Satoshi stepped inside, already loosening his tie. Kyouko turned toward the hallway, her footsteps soft. No rush. No signs of the chaos from just minutes ago. Only the cool, composed grace of the woman they all thought they knew.
