The kind of smile that held a thousand unspoken feelings. "I wonder..." she said softly, turning her gaze forward again. Kyouko smiled, her hands resting lightly on the steering wheel. The engine hummed to life, and the car eased onto the quiet seaside road, sunlight glinting off the windshield. "Where are we going?" Haruki asked, glancing at her, already sensing something playful behind that calm expression. Kyouko didn’t look at him. Just kept her eyes on the road. Her lips curved. The edge of the walking trail curved nearby. Kyouko smiled. "Beautiful, isn’t it?" she said, looking out at the horizon. Haruki wasn’t sure if she meant the ocean... Or herself. But either way. He couldn’t look away. Haruki reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. Before Kyouko could respond, he wrapped his arm around her waist and gently pulled her in, their bodies close, the breeze brushing against their clothes. She glanced up at him, then smiled faintly—soft, shy. The camera shutter captured the moment. Kyouko’s cheek lightly rested against his shoulder, her hair gently blown across her face, her smile small but luminous.
