Satoshi sat stiffly behind his sleek black desk. The blinds were half-drawn. Papers were neatly stacked. But his expression was anything but calm. Across from him sat his private lawyer, suit immaculate, leather briefcase open at his side. The man placed a single sheet of paper on the desk. A pen beside it. "All documents are prepared." Satoshi didn’t move. The lawyer continued, voice neutral but professional. "I met with her legal representative yesterday. Everything’s been reviewed. Signed on her side." Satoshi slowly reached for the pen. "She’s... not requesting anything?" His voice was low, unreadable. The lawyer shook his head. "Nothing. No assets. No compensation. No holdings under your name. She declined everything." Satoshi leaned back in his chair. "She really walked away with nothing, huh..." The lawyer nodded quietly. "Yes. She made it very clear she wanted no part of your estate, your company, or any future earnings." Satoshi stared at the document. Her signature was already there. Neat. Graceful. Unmistakable. "What did she say?" Satoshi asked, without lifting his eyes. The lawyer adjusted his glasses. "Only that she wished for a peaceful resolution. Nothing more." Silence. Satoshi finally picked up the pen. He signed. Firm. Cold. And with that, it was done. The lawyer gathered the form and slid it back into his folder. "I’ll submit it to the ward office this afternoon. By the end of the day, it will be official." Satoshi didn’t respond. The lawyer stood, gave a polite bow, and left without another word. The door closed quietly behind him. "Papa... are you sure?" Satomi asked, seated casually on the edge of the couch in his office. Satoshi leaned back in his chair, sipping from his tea without looking at her. "Hmm? Yes, I am. Why?" Satomi shrugged. "Nothing... just... what are we getting out of this?" A pause. Satoshi smirked. "Ahh... a confirmed long-term contract from Fujiwara." Satomi’s eyes lit up. "Oh!? Really? How, Papa?" He finally looked up, the same smugness returning to his expression. "I’ll inform Mister Fujiwara that I’ve submitted the divorce." "Ah~" Satomi leaned back, resting her cheek on her palm. "That means... Mister Fujiwara will have a real chance at Mom, huh?" "Yes." Satoshi chuckled softly. "The contract’s already signed." "All he asked... was that I agree never to pursue her again. No contact. No attempt to reverse the divorce." Satomi grinned. "So this means... with Mother free, our company will become even more successful." Satoshi nodded, voice calm—almost bored. "Yes." He placed his empty teacup back onto the saucer with a soft clink. "Now it’s up to Mister Fujiwara himself to do what he needs to do." He leaned back in his chair. "We don’t need to interfere anymore." Satomi crossed her legs, her smile still lingering. "He always wanted her, didn’t he? Since years ago." Satoshi gave a dry chuckle. "He’s been patient. "That means our company will rise even more, Papa~" Satoshi smiled faintly. "Yes, my love." She leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his lips, slow and affectionate. Then rested her head against his shoulder. "After this, we’ll become even richer..." she whispered. Her fingers traced small circles on his chest. "Papa... can we hire a maid~? Please? Just a day maid." Satoshi chuckled, arm wrapping loosely around her waist. "Anything for you, dear. But only a day maid." "Mm, yes." Satomi giggled softly. "We don’t want them interrupting our time together." Their eyes met. The room fell silent for a moment— quiet and calm. "So, tonight~" Satomi purred, fingers brushing along his chest, "Our time, right?" Satoshi smirked. "Yes, Papa~" she whispered again, lips brushing against his ear. "We’re free now." He stroked her hair lightly. "What about you and Haruki?" Satomi shrugged with a light sigh. "What about him?" She sat up straighter, lips curled into a lazy smile. "I’m already prepared to leave him. The documents are already in process, right?" "Mm." Satoshi nodded with satisfaction. "This is what I like about my sweet girl... always thinking ahead." She giggled, laying her head back on his shoulder. "Besides... we already secured the long-term contract with Yamashita." "Exactly." he said, eyes narrowing with smug contentment. A single document lay open on his desk—an internal notice forwarded discreetly from one of his legal contacts. A smirk curled on his lips as he leaned back in his chair, eyes narrowing with satisfaction. "So... she’s no longer married after this." He reached for his glass of aged whiskey, swirling it slowly. "Good." His voice was low. Certain. He took a slow sip, then placed the glass down with a soft clink. "Now it’s my chance." He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk. Eyes sharp. Focused.
