"HOW?! HOW THE HELL DO YOU KEEP ESCAPING CERTAIN DEATH?!" roared Yisu in utter frustration and anger. Her entire body was trembling, not only due to the aftereffects of [Winter’s Grasp], but also because of the sheer fury and disbelief swirling in her fell heart. There was just no way the bastard in front of him had all the spells in the entire world! Which was true, though the number of spells in Hal’s arsenal was still certainly far greater than most wizards and Fellkins, who usually specialized in a path, or two at most. Even the master wizards and the Magnas of the Imperium wouldn’t be able to match him in this regard. It was simply impossible. Sealing his escape options and taking him out with more powerful spells would probably be the only reliable way to eliminate him. Yisu had been doing a great job in this regard. It was just that Chaos had decided to throw a wrench in Fate’s plans once more, giving his chosen a much-needed spell. It was only because of [Breathing Room] that Hal lived; he would’ve most certainly perished without it. In any case, the bullcrappery had already happened, and it was the young human who now had the advantage after struggling on the back foot for the majority of the fight. Yisu was feeling weak and spent. While Hal’s Chaos Karma was also running low, he was arguably unscathed, as he wasn’t injured except for a few minor cuts caused by the earlier Spatial Rends. He certainly looked way better than the Fell Hag. ...And younger... Yisu found it meaningless to still waste mana on depriving Hal of air, and so she released everything, conserving whatever amount of mana she could. The Spatial Shackles had also been severed. If there was any advantage left for the Fell Hag, it was that her infuriating opponent still wouldn’t be able to cast spatial repositioning spells. Only, her options were more limited, as she could only stay in the cover of the Spatial Distortion to protect herself from the immoral gesture, or keep up with the high-intensity sequence of her reappearing behind her opponent and hunting him down with Spatial Rends and Gravity Balls. The problem with the second option was that her current mana reserves might not be enough. If she did run out...perhaps it would be one of the most embarrassing defeats in the history of the Fell Continent. And so, Yisu could only clench her fists and grit her teeth, uncertain of what to do next. How? How did it all come to this? How did winning suddenly feel so difficult? Even the middle-aged elite wizards, whose spells were faster and stronger than the brat’s, were somehow easier to defeat! Did she severely underestimate the advantages of a massive arsenal of spells? Mayhaps that was what it was, as she was never able to predict what the darned human brat was going to do next. Whenever she believed that she had already cornered Hal Fennec and that the brat was done for, he would suddenly whip out some new spell from his accursed collection, as if he had a solution for every single combat scenario that would happen. Yisu now understood why the recently proclaimed Chaos Magna Prospect, Hal Fennec, was ranked so highly in their hit list despite his tender age. Nonetheless, she had to pull out a win here, or his lord’s hard work would all go up in smoke. Because of her follies! Beneath her, the Imperial Wizard Army had long broken through, and their formation had already shifted to strengthen their flanks. It would be difficult for the pursuing Fell Beasts and the few remaining warriors affiliated with the Kata Clan to prevent them from escaping. She would have to win her duel and help contain the situation below. But then, just when things were looking grimmer for the fell and brighter for the humans... A wave of black and crimson smoke crawled from inside the Az Tunnel, howling eerily as it sprawled out from the stretch, only stopping a few dozen meters from the rear of the human formations. The smoke no longer moved forward. However, it also didn’t dissipate. It was as though the black and crimson wave was alive... Soon, a blood-curdling aura enveloped the entire area, affecting even Yisu and Hal, who were inside the Spatial Domination Domain. The Fell Hag didn’t feel like the domain was hers anymore, and that she was at the mercy of the owner of the spine-chilling aura. The battle inevitably stopped as everyone trembled. Even the accursed Fell Beasts didn’t dare move, their suppressed instincts going all out to tell them that if they moved, they would die. The fell creations then kneeled in their own harrowing ways. All sounds ceased, and only the unsettling howls of the black and crimson smoke, along with powerful footsteps, echoed in the biting night. Then did the owner of the aura emerge: a mulberry-skinned, male Fellkin with long, ivory horns that extended upwards. His already impressive physique was accentuated and made even more fierce by black stripes. "A-Atrox Seres..." Yisu murmured, barely audible to the young man across her. Hal trembled at the title, finding it impossible to move as horror held his body hostage. Soon after, the Fell Hag fell unconscious, plummeting down to the ground with a rather nauseating thud. It was unknown whether her body gave way due to fear, exhaustion, or relief. One couldn’t even be sure if she survived the fall. The Atrox Seres heard the thud, finding it impertinent and so looked the noise’s way. His eyes narrowed at the sight of Yisu’s skin and the transparent-ish black stripes. "An Irata, huh?" the Atrox Seres muttered. It was then that a voice—barely wrestling a bit of courage from the gripping fear—echoed: "Y-You! Where’s Lord Targon?!" It was Emmanuel, horrified to see the opponent of his lord here. The Atrox Seres naturally turned to look, grinning eerily at the question. "Oh..." the mighty Fellkin began, "You mean this irritating guy?"
