Chapter 124: Chapter 124: Yang Lichun Takes a Liking to Brother An
Otherwise, why would she keep repeating that same sentence, denying it? And looking the way she cried, it seemed like she was extremely unwilling to accept such a result. Moreover, she mentioned that they looked so alike, so there must have been some clue that convinced him, even though he didn’t want to accept it.
This time, Yang Chuxia thought: how did Old Lady Hua suddenly barge in earlier? It seemed that Old Lady Hua must have had a hand in this. She would never believe that her father was not Old Yang’s son. Just look at their resemblance. If Old Yang had said otherwise, there must’ve been a huge issue.
It seemed she needed to find an opportunity to clear this matter up. If she found out that Old Lady Hua was truly involved, she would wait for her in the pond.

"Please, don’t worry about my grandfather. Dad, can you help me bring our leftover crabs from lunch over to Brother An’s house? I’ll marinate them so they don’t go bad."
"Sigh, alright."
"No need, Uncle Yang. I can carry it." Ye Zi’an had already picked up the wooden bucket.
"Put it down right now! Don’t go reopening your wounds." Seeing Ye Zi’an carrying the bucket, Yang Chuxia became worried. Why was this kid so disobedient?
Ye Zi’an stubbornly didn’t put it down. "I’ve already healed, and the bucket isn’t that heavy. I can carry it."
Yang Chuxia looked at him and saw that he didn’t seem to be struggling. She thought for a moment before relenting, "Fine, you carry it."
"Sister, I’ll come with you and help Brother Zi’an carry it." Yang Qingrui put down the book in her hands, got up, and went to carry the other side of the bucket.
"Qingrui, it’s fine. I can carry it by myself."
Ye Zi’an glanced helplessly at Yang Qingrui. The height difference between them was significant, causing the bucket to tilt when they tried to carry it together.
"I’ll do it. Qingrui, you carry this." Yang Chuxia looked at the two, walked over to Yang Qingrui’s side, and handed the basket of ingredients to her. Then, she said goodbye to Yang Dachuan and Ms. Wang before leaving.
The three of them had just left the house when they noticed that Yang Lichun was leisurely following behind. She didn’t stop even when they were almost at Ye Zi’an’s house.
Since she didn’t stop, Yang Chuxia stopped instead. She put the bucket down and, with a fierce look, approached Yang Lichun. "Why are you following us? What are you up to?"
Seeing Yang Chuxia coming, Yang Lichun instinctively covered her cheeks, afraid of being hit again for no reason.
She glanced at Ye Zi’an not far away and, shyly bypassing Yang Chuxia, approached him, "Brother An, is this heavy for you? Let me help you carry it. I’m much stronger than Yang Chuxia."
Ye Zi’an didn’t even look at her and kept his head down, silent.
"Brother An, I’m talking to you."
Only after she repeated herself did Ye Zi’an finally glance at her, but his words made her fume in anger.
"I don’t know you, so why would I need your help?"
"You..." Yang Lichun was actually quite pretty, with fair and tender skin. Now with a wronged expression, her teary eyes held a special charm. Staring at Brother An, her voice softened a few degrees. "I’m Yang Chuxia’s cousin... Yang Lichun."
Unexpectedly, Brother An retorted, "Oh, I remember now. It was your brother who injured me."
