With a deep gaze, he pressed a kiss to her cheek before effortlessly sweeping her into his arms. The quiet corridor was bathed in the faint glow of lanterns, cocooning them in its soft warmth, encircling them in a golden halo. Shi Wei’s gaze lingered for a moment on their overlapping shadows on the ground, his slightly upturned eyes carrying a drunken smile.
