She nodded quickly, then scrambled off of him in a rush. "The dress isn’t finished yet." Seeing the soft bundle in his arms suddenly break free, Shi Weiqing raised a bemused eyebrow and smiled lazily. He reclined on the sofa, his gaze fixed on the graceful silhouette darting across the room, not budging even for a second. Cutting sounds from the bedroom drifted over. The girl busied herself for a while, letting out a dispirited sigh as she set down the scissors. For some reason, after finishing that starry blue dress, her inspiration seemed to dry up tonight, and no matter how she revised it, it didn’t look the way she envisioned. Yu Zhi slowly turned around, holding a glass cup in her hand as she leaned against the desk, looking at the man seated not far from her. After a few moments of silent exchange between them, the girl’s eyes lit up. She straightened her posture and slapped the cup back onto the desk. "Zhizhi?" Shi Weiqing immediately recognized the peculiar glint in the girl’s expression. He could already tell what she had in mind. Sure enough, in the next moment, she darted straight toward him. The man’s gentle voice seemed to soothe Yu Zhi’s restless mind, as she picked up a piece of black fabric. "There isn’t anything suitable here." "What do you need? I’ll have someone send it over." Yu Zhi turned around, her gaze sweeping over his figure once before clutching the collar of his shirt with her fingertips. "Do you have something like this?" Shi Weiqing: "..." How was he supposed to explain that this shirt had been purchased from a designer overseas? Shi Weiqing paused for a couple of seconds. "Something similar, will that do?" "That works." After all, she was only planning to make a sample tonight—not something she’d give the man to wear right away. "Wait for me here." Shi Weiqing gently pinched her nose before strolling off to the master bedroom across the hall. He picked up the phone resting on the nightstand, walking unhurriedly to the window as he dialed Chen Cai’s number. The phone rang five or six times before a very official and serious voice answered on the other end. "Boss, what can I do for you?" Chen Cai was currently out on the street with his brothers, drinking beer and grilling skewers. When he saw his boss calling, he had quickly swallowed the meat in his mouth, only to nearly choke on it. "Buy some fabric and deliver it." Shi Weiqing furrowed his brows, pulling the phone slightly away from his ear to escape the noise in the background. "Fabric?" Chen Cai wasn’t sure he’d heard correctly and turned the volume all the way up. "Boss, did you say fabric?" "For clothes." "You’re making clothes at home?" "Yes." The man responded with a tinge of impatience, growing more regretful of employing such a dense subordinate. "What color?" Chen Cai took a swig of beer and slapped the wooden table decisively. "Just tell me, I’ll get whatever you need!" "Is that so?" Shi Weiqing’s tone carried a subtle, sarcastic smile. "Of course! Just say the word—whether it’s climbing mountains or diving into—" "Beep, beep, beep—" The dial tone cut him off. Chen Cai stared at his phone for a couple of seconds before lifting it up high. "Huh? What’s going on? I’ve got signal, don’t I?" He tapped the phone twice on the table, and a text message popped up at the top of the screen. Chen Cai opened it, chuckling as he spoke to the man in black beside him. "Told you we’ve got signal!"
