Chapter 100 Part 2: Tier-5 Corrupted Beasts

Battlefield: The 10 Tier-5 Corrupted Beasts, each in different shapes and sizes, encountered the Captains. The Captains were all determined not to let them go. If these Tier-5 Beasts got past, then the Commanders' faces would be lost. Boom! Thus, the fight starts right away. The number of Captains under the 16 Commanders is large. They teamed up to surround and target the Tier-5 Corrupted Beasts. The fighting is spreading through the nearby area, swept away by the aftermath. Those nearby Tier-4 Beasts are squashed under the aftermath. As time passes, the first Tier-5 Corrupted Beast succumbs to injuries. The Captains then targeted the remaining Tier-4 Beasts. Meanwhile, The 16 Commanders were all keeping an eye on the situation. The appearance of the 10 Tier-5 Beasts had put them on edge. They didn't know whether it was the total number of Beasts or not. They were waiting to see whether the second wave of Tier-5 Beasts would occur. But to their surprise, the 2nd wave didn't happen, even after the death of the first Tier-5 Beast. This analysis brought them a moment of relief. At the same time, they kept an eye on the front line as well. After seeing Harris helping others, these Commanders then began lending a helping hand as well. Because of their actions, the number of casualties was reduced. Ultimately, it eased the pressure on the frontline inexperienced Beast Tamers. ... Wilderness: The 3 Tier-6 Worm Beasts have been trying to attack the intruders, but their attacks are quickly stopped by them. As time passed, the three City Governors were able to injure these Worm Beasts. They are Tier-7 Beast Tamers. It would be a matter of time before the 3 Tier-6 Beasts die. On the other hand, the Tier-7 Thorny Worm Beast was left alone. It didn't have anyone to command. All the corrupted beasts under it were engaged in the fight right now. The Tier-7 Corrupted Thorny Beast has human-like intellect. It noticed that it was necessary to defeat the intruders; otherwise, the Tier-6 Beasts under its command would die. Then it would be difficult to continue the invasion. Swoosh! Tud! A Tier-3 corpse dropped to the ground. "It's over," Jeremy muttered as he noticed the complete depletion of his Starlight energy. Jeremy then swept his gaze across the battlefield, especially looking at the Captains' battle. Seeing that the Tier-5 Beasts are putting up a strong fight, a look of understanding dawned on him. He knew that Beasts are inherently stronger than humans; they have stronger bodies. The Captains are all Tier-5 Beast Tamers, yet they are struggling to kill the Tier-5 Corrupted Beasts. Jeremy realizes that he has underestimated the strength of the corrupted Beasts. The lower-tier Beasts might seem weak and can be easily killed by Tier-1 Beast Tamers. But the strength of Corrupted Beasts grows as their tier increases. "When will the battle come to an end?" Ken asked. He was exhausted as well; it was really hard for him to stand at this moment. Jeremy collected his thoughts and looked at him. Ken was bruised and injured. He had been fighting using the gauntlets. A few beast nails had torn through his skin, and the injury was visible. "You should go and get treatment from Eve. There are no Beasts coming towards us right now," Jeremy said to him. Hearing that, Ken nodded his head and left the place. Sigh! A deep sigh escaped Jeremy's mouth. "I wonder how Father and Mother are doing?" Jeremy thought.
