Jeremy is pondering when he feels the movement again. A 10-foot-long black bear with blood-red eyes storms out of the cave. A sense of crisis envelops his heart. This beast's speed is so fast that it catches him off guard. Without using the starlight energy, he brings the sword downward to block its claws. Growls! The black blade immediately touches the claw. Clang! The impact force sends Jeremy backward like a broken kite. The knife in his left hand drops to the ground. Growl! The black bear is angry. It's sprinting toward its human enemy. Just as it's chasing after its prey, the black bear feels pain in its body. Since its beast instinct has taken over, it dismisses the pain and continues to pursue the enemy. On the other hand, Jeremy is shocked. He thought the black bear would give up, but instead, it's chasing him down. So he runs in circles. He can only hope that the poison will work. About 10 minutes later, The black bear stops moving. The bear realizes that something is happening to it. Its breathing is getting harder, and its movements are slowing. Finally, the black beast drops dead on the ground. Jeremy, who is fleeing, comes to a stop after realizing that the bear is no longer chasing him. He immediately turns around and starts going back. Shortly afterward, He sees the corpse of the black bear. His eyes flicker. As he expected, the toad poison is not ordinary. Then he puts the body of the black bear into the storage ring. There are only a few useful items to be found in corrupted beasts, for example, sharp teeth, tails, and claws. The meat is poisonous to humans because of the mutations. But they can eat meat from regular beasts that are not mutated. Jeremy carefully walks back to the cave. He uses a device light to explore the cave. When he goes deeper, the smell of filth attacks his nostrils. He spots broken skeletons all over the place. They must be the leftover food of the bear. So he ignores them and starts looking for something useful. "Hmmm," Jeremy raises his eyebrows in surprise. He sees purple berries on the ground. They are the size of a human fist, and he notices that most of them are half bitten. Jeremy picks one of them up before carefully observing it. "It's indeed one of the berry species," Jeremy mutters to himself. The mission is to find berry fruit growing areas, but it doesn't specify what type of berry fruits. However, Jeremy thinks he can use this fruit for the mission submission. But before that, he needs to find the tree.
