Cafeteria:
Jeremy walked inside. Then his gaze fell on the only woman sitting in the room. The whole place was empty.
"Don't tell me she has booked the whole place," Jeremy Night thought.
Violet Heath opened her eyes upon sensing Jeremy's presence.
Jeremy walked up to her and sat in the chair opposite her.
"Senior, what's this about?" he asked.
"Jeremy, you are the strongest apart from the two S-Graders in the first year. You can fight across ranks. I have also heard about your performance during the beasts' invasion. You got the most kill count in the east division," Violet Heath said everything in one breath.@@@@
Jeremy was surprised, but he didn't doubt her. Her family is capable of finding everything.
She added further by saying, "The beasts' invasion has stimulated City A as a whole. Not only the locals, but the poor, rich, and big families are working hard to strengthen themselves."
"So that they can be prepared for the next beasts' invasion. My family wanted me to complete a set of missions. They have arranged a team for me."
"But Dean Carolyn wanted the students to take part in this type of mission as well. Perhaps you might have noticed that students are joining the Beast Taming Families' missions a lot."
"Yes," Jeremy agreed.
"My mission is dangerous for you. But if you agree to help us, I can give you Grade-3 resources. The resources will be enough for you to reach Tier-2 quickly," she said with a smile.
Jeremy's eyes flickered. As he had rightly guessed, it was not a coincidence. The Beast Taming Families are indeed recruiting people. On the other hand, he was tempted by the resources as well.
"If you don't mind, can you tell me about the mission? If it's about facing Tier-4 beasts, it's too risky for me," Jeremy asked.
Violet didn't mind; she replied, "My family is to explore the forbidden area at the border of the outer edge of the wilderness. Before the mutation, that place was a chemical plant."
"We suspect that the place hides some unknown resources. If we could find them and give them to the Human Alliance, they would reward us. We can also exchange other resources for rewards."
"As you know, for the Beast Tamers, their lifeline beast needs suitable resources to grow. The Human Alliance has all types of resources, even those that cannot be found in our city," she added.
Jeremy gained clarity in his thoughts. He didn't sense any ill intent from her.
The following day,
Jeremy Night left the University on time. It didn't take long for him to reach the City Gate. After stepping out of the cab, he paid the fare.
Then he started to look for the Heath Family team.
"Jeremy, here!"
The next second, he heard a voice from behind.
Hearing that, he turned around and saw the purple-haired woman. She is none other than Violet Heath.
Jeremy smiled and started walking towards her. He also noticed that she was accompanied by the Beast Tamers.
They were wearing her family uniform, while a few others were in University uniforms like him.
"Jeremy, you are on time, let's go," Violet Heath said with a smile.
"Hmmm," he nodded to her.
As he started walking side by side with her, he noticed several unwanted gazes on him. All of them were malicious.
His eyes flickered. The worst thing had happened, but he was not afraid. Most of them were Tier-2 and Tier-3 Beast Tamers.
Since it's a senior team, there is no Tier-1 Beast Tamer apart from him. He also saw a strong woman accompanying Violet Heath.
Judging from the aura, he thought that she was a Tier-4 Beast Tamer.
On the other hand, the Heath Family Beast Tamers were unconvinced. They didn't know why their miss had recruited a first-year student who is a Tier-1 Beast Tamer.
Their eyes flashed with disdain. None of them were ready to introduce themselves. They maintained a distance while walking.
Violet Heath saw everything, but she was helpless. Something only understood by them if they witnessed it in reality.
"Jeremy, don't hold back while fighting. My people are unconvinced. Only if you show your strength will they change their attitude," she said without turning back.
Jeremy raised his eyebrows in surprise. He felt that what she said was true. These people wouldn't accept him just like that. Only strength could convince them.
