Chapter 112 Part 1: Mission Completed

Jeremy begins his search. He is looking for the berry fruit tree. Not long after, he finds a group of trees a few hundred meters from the hidden cave. His gaze falls on the purple berry fruits growing on the tree branches. Seeing the berry fruits, his eyes flicker with surprise and relief. He thought he would spend days here to find this tree. Then he finds a small rock bed to sit down. He starts mapping the place on the digital device. His mission is to find the location of this tree. He doesn't plan to collect the growing fruits here. About 20 minutes later, he has finished mapping the area. The map has a clear route from the City Gate to the hidden cave. Then he saves the file before putting the device back in his storage ring. Swoosh! Just as Jeremy stands up to leave, he hears footsteps. The sound of footsteps is low, but he is sure that there are others here. He immediately leaves the place and finds a hiding spot far from the sound of footsteps, hiding behind the overgrown bushes and trees. Jeremy is staring in one direction where he sees three people wearing the uniform of the Beast Taming Association. He doesn't know what they are doing here, so he continues to listen. "Brother, is this the place?" "I heard purple berry fruits are a favorite for the Tier-3 and Tier-4 Black Bears!" "You are right!"@@@@ "There is a cub of Tier-4 Beast living in this cave!" "We should leave before the Tier-4 Beast finds us!" The three Beast Tamers are discussing among themselves. Growl! The next second, a loud growling sound alarms everyone. "F@ck!" "The Tier-4 Corrupted Beast is here." "Hmmm," Jeremy raises his eyebrows in doubt. Normally, the Tier-4 Beast should have appeared in his sight, yet he hears only the constant howling. He wields the katana in his right hand and the knife in his left hand. Swoosh! Jeremy then starts to go back, following the sound. Not long after, he steps out of the wild overgrown bushes. The sight that greets him is amazing. The Tier-4 Black Bear is fighting against a 20ft tall Corrupted Tiger. Jeremy's pupils shrink. The pressure coming from the ferocious corrupted tiger is not ordinary. He is standing a couple of hundred meters away from them. Yet he can feel the pressure here. As he continues to watch the fight, he notices that the Tier-4 Beast is retreating. The black bear is getting attacked by the Tiger Beast. Just as he thinks the fight will continue, the Black Bear flees in fear. The Corrupted Tiger Beast chases after it. He breaks out into a cold sweat. He realizes something now. The Tiger Beast must be another Tier-4 Corrupted Beast. If it were a Tier-5 Beast, the Black Bear would have been killed on the spot. He has witnessed the power of a Tier-5 Beast during the invasion battle. A single Tier-5 Beast was enough to sweep away a couple of Tier-4 Beasts. It takes him a few minutes to calm down his restless heart. He doesn't know why these Beasts are fighting against each other, but he doesn't think it's safe to be here. Time passes, he follows the old route to return to the purple berry trees. The place is devastated because of the Tier-4 Beast's rampage. He is glad that at least the berry trees are safe. After glancing at the surroundings, Jeremy leaves the place. On the way, he doesn't find any footprints or destruction. The route is safe, which means the Tier-4 Beast hasn't come here. About one hour later, Jeremy sees the city gate. His mouth curves into an arc. He has gone through a wild experience. At the same time, he has learned some valuable lessons. He can't blindly roam around the wilderness. Especially without any survival skills, it would be considered suicidal. He has seen the battle of Tier-4 Beasts. If they had both turned towards him, it would have become life-threatening.
