Chapter 9 Bloodthirsty Salamander

Jeremy furrows his brows, convinced that something is lurking inside the building. As he moves forward, he keeps his eyes fixed on the structure, gripping the katana. After taking a few more steps, he reaches the ruined building. There's no visible entrance, and half of the ceiling has collapsed. Jeremy takes a sharp breath before stepping inside the room. The broken bricks and fallen debris were all over the floor. Old, worn-out items scattered everywhere. Boom! He was contemplating. Something rushes out of the nearby ruined room. His senses were sharp. He felt the threat instantly. A Corrupted Beast charged towards him to attack with its claws. Clang! Jeremy raised the katana, slicing it downward in a perfect arc. The Katana blade meets its claws with a deafening clang. He takes a good look at the beast. The next second, he leapt backwards and exited the ruins. Fighting in the open field is better than inside the ruins. Boom! The Corrupted Beasts rush out of the ruined structure. "Bloodthirsty Salamander," Jeremy's eyes flash with a sharp glint. The Corrupted Beast is standing almost 6ft tall. Almost to the size of a human height. Its back has red and black scales. The defense of the corrupted beast is stronger. To kill the Corrupted Salamander. One has to attack its weak points, which are the neck and belly of the Beast. The Salamander Beasts are commonly corrupted ones seen around the human settlements. The Bloodthirsty Salamanders are known for ruthlessness. The Corrupted Beasts won't leave unless it's completely killing the prey. So It's hard to kill them unless you are an experienced Beast Tamer. For Jeremy, the Corrupted Beast is still a Tier-2 Rank. As long as he can target the weak point, he can kill the Beast. The Corrupted Salamander attacked again, and Jeremy's Counter-Strike came immediately. A clean vertical slash that aimed for the neck. The corrupted beast got closer to him. Jeremy leapt forward. The katana in his hand flashed. The next second, the blade went deep inside the neck. But he was sure that his senses were not wrong. He felt a tingling sensation behind his back a moment ago. Jeremy then shakes his head. He decides to return. Meanwhile, A figure is walking in mid-air towards the city. The person is none other than Martha Smith. She saw how Jeremy Night was able to defeat the Tier-2 Corrupted Beast effort with ease. "Is he going to walk the path of a striker?" She thought. There are different types of Beast Tamers. Depending upon their Lifeline beast, they decide their career path. Some Beast Tamers are good at frontal attacks. Their Lifeline Beast is an attack type as well. While others are good at control and defence. There are special awakeners who can use rare abilities. Including the healing ability and various other abilities of their Lifeline Beast. But even among the Beast Tamers, there is a rare career path called Strikers. Even rarer than the special awakeners. Strikers are warriors who don't rely on their Lifeline Beast to fight. Some of them are good at hand-to-hand combat. Others use a wide range of weapons to deal with the Corrupted Beasts. They only depend on their Lifeline Beasts for evolution. After seeing Jeremy's fight, she thinks Striker's path is suitable for him. It's just one thing left for him. It's the suitable Lifeline Beasts for evolution. Martha is going to make a final decision. The unknown beast egg with her is going to have a good partner. With a smile on her face, she vanishes from her spot, moving back to the city at breakneck speed. Meanwhile, "Young Master, you are back," Captain Morris said with a smile. Everyone started to look at Jeremy with a new glint in their eyes.
