Captain Morris and others were ready to fight against the Corrupted Beasts. But to everyone's surprise. There is no sign of any corrupted beasts in the vicinity.
"What a surprise?" Jeremy thought.
He was expecting other bloodthirsty Salamanders to find out their place. Yet there is not even a single Beast here.
For a second, he thought about going back to check the place. The new situation caused unease as much as surprise.
But before he could say something. Someone stepped forward. The person is none other than Captain Morris.
"Young Master, I'll go and check out the place where you killed the Tier-2 Corrupted Beast," Morris said.
Since he is taking the initiative to verify things. Jeremy nodded to him. Then Captain Morris left with a few members.
Meanwhile,
The Corpse of a Tier-2 Corrupted Salamander turned food for another Corrupted Beast. But this time it's not the average Tier-2 Beast.
The Beast is the same Bloodthirsty Salamander with red and black scales all over its body. The limbs are muscular and thicker. The scales are harder than typical Tier-2 Beast.
The size of the Beast is twice the Tier-2 Salamander Beast. Right now, it's eating corpse flesh with razor-sharp teeth. It's chewing without any worry.
A few minutes later,
Captain Morris and others arrived at the place. Before they could go and check the place. Morris' Lifeline Beast warned him of a danger ahead.
As a Tier-3 Beast Tamer, he can sense potential dangers around him. His Lifeline Beast is a Tier-3 Beast as well. It can warn him if there are any higher-tier beasts around him.
After getting confirmation from the Lifeline Beasts, he ordered others to lay low. Morris then walks forward alone.
His Lifeline Beast has sensed a Tier-3 Beast ahead. After walking a few steps further. He finally got the view of the corrupted beast.
A Giant bloodthirsty Salamander is savouring the corpse of the Tier-2 Salamander.
Morris takes a breath, and the salamander's head turns towards him.
Morris' heart skips a beat. A cold sweat appeared on his forehead.
"How is this possible?" He widened in disbelief.
The armoured vehicle returns to the Night Family Estate. Captain Morris and others walked out. Jeremy was the last one to step out.
"I'll inform my father. You go and alert others, especially those who were gone for outside missions," Jeremy said to him.
"Okay, young master," Morris replied.
Jeremy then turns around to walk towards the building. He was a bit fortunate today. He had finished off the Tier-2 Corrupted Beast before bumping into any Tier-3 Beasts.
Fighting against the Tier-3 Beast at this stage is suicidal. So Jeremy wants to find a suitable Lifeline Beast as soon as possible.
Then he reaches the entrance and walks inside the house.
He then saw something interesting.
The representative of the Human Alliance, Martha Smith is conversing with his parents.
"What's going on?" He asked in his heart.
Ron and Nora Night saw their son.
"Jeremy, come here. Lord Martha wants to talk to you," Ron said with a smile.
Jeremy raised his eyebrows in surprise. He then walks to them before sitting on the sofa next to his parents.
"Jeremy Night, are you surprised to see me here," Martha asked.
"Yes, is this about joining Central University?" I replied.
"I heard you have agreed to go to Central University. It's a good choice. But I'm here for a different reason."
"I have my late friend's inheritance with me. Before dying she wanted me to pass the inheritance to suitable young talent," Martha said in a calm tone.
Ron and Nora Night were dumbfounded by her answer. They exchanged looks. They knew the person in front of them was strong. So strong that she can destroy their City C with ease.
So her friend's Inheritance must be valuable.
Jeremy's heart set off storms. He was thinking whether it was about the University or not. But after hearing her explanation, he doesn't know how to react.
Her friend's items must be valuable. He doesn't know what it is. But he is willing to accept the Inheritance. Such a good thing only a fool would decline.
